New Sleeve
Its been 2 weeks for me and I feel almost normal. I still got a little soreness but other than the fact I am tired all the time I am having no trouble getting around. I've been sleeping really well with out any meds also. So that's a plus lol.

- What a difference a year makes! 1 year post op today
I hope to be were you are in a year. You look fantastic.- Fat vs Lean Muscle Loss
yeah, Ive used those before. Someone else on these forms said they were useless for us basically. Yeah I had an IV once already because I wasn't getting my liquids, I think its just because I was sleeping so much and didn't have time in the rest of the day to get them in.- Fat vs Lean Muscle Loss
Yeah I am looking forward to being able to use regular Protein instead of this Isopure pre-mixed stuff I'm on now. They recommended me to get in 70-80 grams of protein a day but I've been having trouble doing that lol. Hopefully it gets better once im on regular foods. Not going to lie though it will be nice to finally have this extra weight off lol.- 2 weeks post op
its been 12 days for me and I only lost 3lbs over the weekend after losing 15 over the first few days. Like everyone says keep positive everyone is different. It's only a matter of time before it all comes off.- Fat vs Lean Muscle Loss
Hey everyone, I am almost 2 weeks out from my VSG surgery and was wonder something. I used to be an avid power lifter before a knee injury and still enjoy lifting heavy when I can. I still have a lot of residual muscle from those days and wonder how much if any of my muscle will I be able to keep over the next year to year and a half when I drop my excess weight. I know that your body prefers to burn lean tissue before burning fat so I expect to lose a lot of muscle mass. I just don't want to lose it all lol. My Dr. says I can gradually start working out again after my 6 week mark. Right now I'm just walking. Is there anyone out there that has experience with this? Thanks everyone Bigbeaz.- 2weeks out of surgery

It took me 4 days before my first one. I had my surgery on the 24th and have had a very small bowel movement everyday since day four post op.- 2weeks out of surgery
Did you have your surgery on the 24th of October? It sounds like your Dr has you on a different diet than me. I also had mine on the 24th.- Post op diet
I was sleeved on the 24th and I'm getting in one bottle of Isopure premade protein drink in aday plus 40 oz of water and some low carb Gatorade. Its only 40g wich is low but I'm stilk tryong to adjust to taking a sip every 10-15 min lol. I've lost 15lbs since my surgery.- 2weeks out of surgery
I had my surgery on the 24th and I'm the same way. I haven't had that "hunger" feeling either. My Dr. said thats how it is. I would recommend getting in your meals though. You will still need food for your body to function even though at this stage it is primarily feeding off your fat cells.- October Sleevers - Who else
Hey fellow sleevers. I had my sleeve done on the 24th and I am feeling pretty good. I've lost 15lbs since my surgery and 40 overall since the 10th of October. I'm liking the fact that I am never hungry. The only bad part is that I have to force myself to drink my protein. I can't wait until I can have something a little more flavorful though lol.- Pain-Free Almost
I had my sleeve on the 24th and I finally feel good again. Other than a little pain from my large incision I have little to no pain. Luckily I haven't had to deal with the nausea most of you have had, I thank my lucky stars for that one lol. I got my first followup tomorrow and cant wait to move on to mushy foods in a few weeks. I'm down 37lbs since I began my per-op diet on the 10th also. It hard to image that its been smooth sailing, but I'll take it lol.- October Sleevers - Who else
I'm also on day two. I'm pretty sore today. Havnt been abke to drink much today. But I know it'll get better.- October Sleevers - Men's Room

Getting to go home 12 hours after surgery. Been doing good today- woohoo
I am officially part of the VSG fraternity. Surgery went great with Dr. Nick Nicholson at forest park in Dallas. I have a little sorness around my larger incision but other than that I feel great no nausea or severely painful cramps.- DFW TX Surgeon selection? (Dallas / Ft. Worth)
I'm headed in now. I'm scheduled for surgery in 2 hours. Woohoo!- October Sleevers - Who else

I'm 2 days out and I'm not sure I know yet lol. I've been drinking my drinks in 4 oz increments just to prepare mentally and its still mind boggling. I guess that's an aspect of the sleeve that you can experience until it's actually done.- October Sleevers - Men's Room
Getting sleeved in 3 days I can't wait.- Pre op diet
