I've never taken the nasal spray but I do take B12 everyday. It's a Gummy so I think of it as a treat. And I can tell the difference with taking it and not taking it. It gives me lots more energy.

I've been staring at this picture for several minutes because it just so happens that I'm wearing similar outfits in both and it's easy to do a comparison. The problem is that I have no idea who either of these women are. Yes...I know they are both me, but I don't recognize either of them. I didn't see myself as fat when I was and I don't see myself as normal which I understand I clearly am.
I need to print this and bring it to my next therapy session. I'm still working on self image issues but it's like the weight loss journey...two steps forward and one step back.
It's so easy for me to see other posters before/after pics and know the difference between them but I can't see it with my own. I am still on this journey and likely will be for quite some time. Good thing we have a support group meeting today. This facilitator could use it.

I cannot believe that I am finally at goal. I'll be honest, after my surgery I didn't even believe the band was going to work. Crazy thing is that I was a self-pay and was having those thoughts! I was so wrong! Today I am down 90 lbs, and loving my new body. It's not just the way you look in the mirror but how you feel when you are lighter. I just turned 30 this year and feel as though I restarted my life and am so motivated to continue to challenge my body. I've included my before and after pictures.

We have had our ups and down but I am 116 pounds down (6 below goal), I feel amazing. It's still a learning experience everyday. I celebrated with an a awesome NSV!! I was able to go on a ride without worrying if I could fit in the seat. I was actually a little scared because I was moving around so much from the extra room I had

Definitely a veteran in the lap band arena! I've had my band for 10 years this October 6th! WOW!!!!! I've done really great and went from 279 lbs to 155 lbs where I stayed for many years. It's an amazing ego boost to look at your old Size 22 pants and realized you are in a Size 8. (yes....was feeling good about myself!)
Two years ago, I went through a horrible divorce and moved halfway across the US. Was under a tremendous amount of stress, worry, you name it....yep that was me! I have gained 45 lbs in the last 2 years. I've decided I will NO LONGER be complacent and am taking control of my life again.
I found a great doctor in my area who has unfilled me, completed an endoscopy, and will be filling my band again this Monday, Aug 4th! I'm committed to staying the course, excerising regularly and taking control of my nutritional needs.
I'm ready for a new, happy and healthy, me!

I woke up this morning and weighed 199.2. I am so happy to see that number, it has been over 7 1/2 years. I couldn't wait to share it with everyone. Have a great Thursday everyone!

I have successfully completed my first 5k! It felt great. I highly recommend run or dye for your first one. My dad and I had so much fun and you can go at your own pace.

I'm down another pants size. It's hard for me to believe it -- same brand of Lee long jeans. I was tight in 18s at the time if surgery, thrilled to go dow to 16 then 14 then 12 and now.....wait for it....10! Ten? Who is this? Meanwhile, scale is not budging. Who cares -- I wear size ten jeans?!!!!

..how grateful I am for my band. I was on a cruise last week and was able to do whatever I wanted. I walked all over this huge ship and had no pain, no issues at all. I went onto a small boat to go snorkeling and had no problem getting on it from the dock, or getting in and out of the Water on the ladder either. I was even able to run the length of that long long pier in St. Thomas as we were late back to the ship. I kept up and even went faster than my sister. I've gotten a new lease on life and it's all due to the band. I had absolutely no issues with the food because I was so aware of how much better I was feeling this time compared to the last cruise I was on. It's easy to walk away from the buffet when you can move without pain and when you can fit in any chair, booth, lounge chair, barstool, plane seat, etc, etc.
Below is a picture of a very happy woman sitting at the bar at Maaho Beach and not sweating like a pig or embarrassed about her size. Life is good. ...oh and I lost another pound even with the increase in alcoholic consumption over the past week.

I never thought I'd hear myself say "I don't want to lose anymore". I've been dieting off and on for 40 years. It's always been feast or famine for me. I, like most here, have tried every diet and weight loss program created, even created a few of my own. I don't have a bikini body, but I'm very happy with what I've managed to accomplish with the help of the band. I'm more active and healthier than I've been in a very long time.
Whats more, I'm noticing that people don't remember the bigger version of me. My son made the comment the other day to his wife that there's no way I ever was large, He just can't remember that. It's only been a year, lol. I see myself in the mirror and am no longer surprised. I'm adjusting. I saw my surgeon on Thursday and we actually discussed what I can do instead of what I shouldn't do. We are both very pleased with my progress. Now on to the maintenance phase. Just wanted to share my reaching GOAL BABY!!!!!
