  1. Had fabulous if inappropriate dreams about an affair with chocolate last night. Woke up and ate yogurt, no fun-size Milky Ways anywhere. It's tough to be a skinny bitch.

  2. I just saw my PCP and she was so pleased with my progress she insisted on taking my picture.

  3. im so glad i took my life back i traded in food for my 2nd chance and have never been happier yes there is still frustrating times but at the end of the day id do this all over for this feeling....

  4. So, today is my 5 week Anniversary! I started this process on 06/01 since then i have lost 28lbs. I am little discouraged with the amount of weight that I lost. For some reason I thought that I would have loss more weight by now. The past 2 weeks I didnt lost any weight; just yesterday I lost 1lb. ONE POUND, Are you kidding me? I started working out at least 3 times a week, and I am watching my diet. So far I am enjoying cereal for breakfast, chicken and salad for lunch and dinner however; I do find myself hungry every 2 hours so I have snacks in between meals. Another thing that is currently bothering me is HEART BURN! I've had heartburn for 3 weeks now, it drives me CRAZY! Also, I am not sure if i am chewing my food enough or I am eating too fast however; I feel like my food gets stuck on the way down. I must say I do miss the realationship I had with food, i just need to have a better relationship with the gym.

  5. I went to a support group today. I had been to one before but not at the actual place where my surgery will be. I love all of the heads up from other patients. One was 4 years out, one was about a year out and others that I wasn't sure.

  6. Starting my 2 week vacation tomorrow, Beach Bound with the family!

  7. Frustrated today. 3 weeks out and I've barely lost any weight and the scale hasn't moved for a week.

My suggestion is stay off the scale on a daily basis it's self defeating and throw you off.

If you must go on the scale do it once a week wearing the same thing at the same time.

I personally only go on a scale when I go to a doctors appointment. I let my clothes be my guide to if I'm loosing weight.

Keep on your food plan and it will come off.

  8. I'm a little bit worried. My husband is really suffering with stomach flu. My daughter and son in law had it last week. This morning I woke up with a queasy stomach and all I want is water. My protein shake made me feel ill. If I start vomiting, do I need to call my doctor?

  9. I am feeling great in body and mind but my spirit is starting to feel a little down. Within a few day of my surgery I dropped 20 pounds then nothing!! I know that we all seem to stall after the initial loss but I have actually gained 4 lbs back in the last couple of days inspite of the fact that I have increased my physical activity and severely decreased my eating!!! I'm starting to get concerned that I'm doing something wrong!!

Eat everything you are told to eat don't cut anything out.

Are you drinking all your water?

Your body is probably saying wait you're not sending me enough so I'm going to hold onto everything.

You will start losing again I'm sure of it.

Don't weigh all the time it's detrimental to your mind and self confidence.

If you feel that you must, weigh once a week wearing the same thing at the same time each time.

      It will get better.

Most likely you're bored and it's head hungry not physical hunger.

That's a great accomplishment so far.

May make a suggestion and that is stay away from brownies because doing that can really sabotage you quickly in the long run.

  14. Ok, so not only have I quit eating on June 27th but I have also quit smoking!!! It has been 13 days since my last cigarette and I have found today to be the most difficult as I am finding myself wanting to munch!! I am trying gum to keep my mouth busy and am about to take a walk...I refuse to eat or smoke, I CAN DO THIS!!!!

  15. This afternoon while grocery shopping I could feel a sugar low coming on while I was checking out. I am still on liquids only but wanting to raise my sugar (and maybe cheat just a little) I opened a box of pretzel crackers and hummus and promptly shoved 4 crackers and 2 teaspoons of hummus in my face....I am feeling stuffed like a pig but my sugar is back to normal!! Grrrrrrrrrr :-/

No offense but bad choice for your healing stomach. It would have been better and faster if you put some tic tacs in your mouth. The sugar would enter your body faster that way and raise your blood levels quicker.

You can check with your surgeon or nutritionist about this method.

  20. Made my one-year mark at just over 100 lbs. gone! I'm wearing size 6 (in some cases, size FOUR?!) and feeling like I could conquer the world. My divorce is finalized, and I'm living in a much smaller, healthier body. I LOVE my sleeve and all it's given me!
