  1. So i am back to working out at the gym. My surgery was 25 sept. Does anyone else get queezy when working out? Or have a hard time staying hydrated?
  2. Wow kim, you are looking great! And great videos btw. I had my surgery on sept 25. Start: 240. Operation day: 216. Last friday: 198. Im hoping I'm loosing at a good rate.
  3. I ordered my vitamins from bariatric choice and bariatric advantage. Just google those two to find them. Just keep in mind a few things. Don't start off buying huge quantities of anything, just in case you don't like how they taste. Get calcium citrate for your calcium. Oh and avoid gummy type vitamins. Be ready for a drastic change in your taste buds right after surgery, and that will be less pronounced over time. Get up and walk as soon as they let you- hospital beds always give me back aches and walking helped with that. Plus it helps you lungs and circulation. Oh, and it is perfectly normal to be anxious right before your surgery. Oh, and make sure that when they start "feeding" you at the hospital, the person delivering your "food". Gives you the proper "food". They messed mine up every time. You are improving your life and this is a big step. And it takes courage and determination to do this. So be proud as you take this journey. You are awesome! And i hope you the very best!

    what do I do?

One thing you definitely need to do is find yourself- you need to grow and develop the person you want to be. You need to make sure you have your own identity. If you can do all that with your current partner supporting you, then you would be making a mistake by leaving. You need to be honest with yourself. You need do some soul searching and figure out what would make you happy with who you are. Do you want to go to college? Have a career? Get involved on a non proffit? Start a business? You can do these things whether you are married or not. None of it will be easy , it will take a lot of work, communication, and mutual support and respect. Just think long and hard about your decisions so that whatever you choose, you will have no regrets.

Post Menopausal Problems After RNY Surgery

I experienced premature ovarian failure at age 30, and i was not overweight yet. So i would be very surprised if i were to get a period again. Not to mention bumbed out. I'm 49 now, my daughter is in collage, and its just my husband and i now. The last thing i need in my life now is being fertile.

    Getting pissed

My husband refuses to eat healthy. So, i feed myself and he feeds himself. And he tries to stay out of my sight when he eats because he feels guilty. But for the most part it doesn't bother me. Pizza was the only thing that bothered me because the aroma was really good. But other than that it hasn't been too bad.

    What ya eating tonight?

So im in the pureed stage. And since i only cook for myself, (my husband lives on a strict fast food diet), i don't need to cook any big meels. So i found these Green Giant Just for One vegetable pacs. Theres a number of different veggie dishes you can choose from, and the are around 40 calories each. I also got some lean ground turkey that i cooked up and stored in the fridge. I then take one of the veggie pacs, nuke it, and in my small blender i ad that, some ground turkey, a bit of unflavored protein powder, and a bit of unsweetend soy milk. I then blend till pureed. It usually makes enough for two of my 4oz bowls. Then i store one for later, and nuke the other for a minute. It actually tastes quite good.
  8. So i had my surgery on Sept 25th. For the most part everything is going pretty good. However, ever since the surgery i get the worst back aches. Does anyone know why that would be?

    Cottage Chesse Lovers :-)

I like adding dillweed and celery salt to cottage cheese.
  10. I feel so thirsty, yet i can only slowly sip.
  11. So, every time i try to sip down Water, i feel like a have to burp. I get this gurgling that goes up my throat. Is that normal? And everything that has a sweet taste to me tastes disgusting, and everything that has a salty taste is now too salty. I font even like the taste of plain water. Am i ever going to get my old taste back? Since i got home yesterday i stopped taking the pain killer. I tried taking the meds for nausea, but that just made me even more nauseous. And i am having A very difficult time keeping up with fluids and Protein. -sasha

    "Big boned girl"

I tell you what, i have small bones, and no matter how big i got, my wrists were always small-but i got fat. Now my mother was big boned, 5' 7", and could have been a model easily. When she was in her 40s she was having trouble keeping the weight on. You may not ever look like a twig, but you will look thin and beautiful! Just keep on track. . Besides, who wants to look like a twig. I know i dont.
