Actually, I was shocked at how easy it was! I had gone through this about 6-7 years ago when i tried before to have the surgery and was denied because of a billing technicality. The psych eval was much more in depth that time. This was mostly a pleasant conversation. no real probing questions except he did touch on my emotional eating and how I'm working to get deal with issues in a more positive way. I spent many years working in mental health and we chatted about that.

Welcome! I am relatively new here as well. I have had my first appt with my surgeon, my psych eval last week and my second appt with my nutritionist is next week. After that appt the clinic will submit my info to my insurance co. Just keeping my toes crossed for good news. This is a wonderful site with great info and really supportive folks, good luck!

I had mine yesterday, it was mostly just a pleasant conversation touching on my stressors and how I react to them.

Does your doctor's office have a support group? You might be able to find a workout buddy. I'm still working on my approval but a friend from work and I are keeping each other honest and moving.
