  1. I have my approval! No date yet but I am so excited!
  2. Congrats! That's so awesome!
  3. So, nearly three weeks ago my surgeon's office submitted my paperwork to the insurance company for approval. I waited two weeks and had still heard nothing from either so I called the insurance company to be told the nurse had not even looked at my submission yet, arg! Yesterday, Saturday, I received an automated call from the insurance company asking yes or no questions about my upcoming scheduled hospital stay. It asked if I had discussed my procedure with my PCP and if I had someone at home to assist me afterwards, and other questions like that. I sent an e-mail to the doctors office hoping to get a reply tomorrow. I'm excited but afraid to get too excited until I am actually scheduled for the surgery. Weird, huh?
  4. Do you have trouble with coffee? I'm down to half decaf...but I really enjoy it.
  5. No. They are all different for different people. Depends on the doctor. They just need to make sure you are able to take care of yourself mentally and physically after surgery. Some people are just not able to understand the commitment and changes needed. I'm sure you are going to do great! Good luck!
  6. They told me it could take up to two weeks. I'll give it that long then start calling them and the insurance!
  7. So excited for you! This is going to be a wonderful adventure for us!
  8. I just received an e-mail from my clinic that they are submitting my stuff to the insurance today or tomorrow! Please keep me in your prayers!!!
  9. Prayers to you for smooth surgery and rapid recovery!
  10. Cool beans! Sending great wishes your way!
  11. Congrats on your surgery date! I'm still waiting on my approval but hope to have it soon.
  12. I'm hoping so. I'm waiting for the doc who did my psych eval to get his notes in my file so the center at North Kansas City Hospital can submit my stuff to insurance.
  13. Hi, my name is Chris and I'm from Kansas City, MO.
  14. Don't give up! You've come too far! I understand the frustration, I'm waiting on the doctor who did my psych eval two weeks ago to get his stupid dictation in my file so it can be submitted to my insurance. I'm not going to give up, and darn it, I won't let you either! So there! How was that for drama? Anyway, have faith. Good things are coming your way!
  15. Congrats! I know that wasn't easy but you stuck to it! You should be very proud of yourself!
  16. This is such wonderful advice...please heed it. You did not come this far to sabotage yourself!
  17. I asked my nutritionist today and she said hopefully within two weeks. Keeping many fingers crossed that we all get good news soon!
