I had my first appointment with Dr. Michael Todd today. It was way better than I expected. He was very kind and took time to talk to me about my personal life and goals for my future. He brought up things I never would think to relate to having this surgery. We talked about career changes, confidence and assertiveness and how I will notice a difference in how my friends, family snd coworkers will treat me after weight loss. He even talked to my husband about the changes I'll go through after surgery and how he can support me. I was expecting a conversation strictly about my health history and medical mumbo jumbo. I feel even better now about my decision to do this.

I had my first appt two weeks ago and was really pleased. I went through all the hoops several years ago to be denied on a technicality. I was so disheartened that I gave up for all this time.

My new surgeon/clinic is wonderful! They have an insurance specialist, psychologist and nutritionist on the team. Before, I had to find all of those on my own...it was awful.

I now feel like I have a whole team on my side supporting me!
