  1. Is anyone else really sensitive to smells? Mainly people's breath? For some reason now I can smell people's breath from like 10 feet away. Not a super power I want :-) at night when I'm laying in bed with my wife I can't face her without wanting to dry heave and it's never been like that before.
  2. Good luck everyone my surgery was July 16th I think I'm starting to get the hang of all this, knock on wood, I see my doc for my first post op in the morning then hopefully I can switch to purred foods!
  3. I work third shift I have not had coffee yet on the account I have not gone back to work but if I can't have it. Bad things will happen.

  6. Yes! I am 12 days post up and have numbness from my left butt check down the back of my left leg and into my left side of my foot. I've had it for 12 whole days and I'm freaking out. It's so hard to walk and no one has given me any answers.
  7. I'm 12 days post op and wake up with the worst dry mouth in the middle of the night. Did this happen to anyone else? How do I fix it? I never had this problem until after surgery.
  8. Gas doesn't come out instantly that carbonation will sit in your pouch until your pouch fills and then the gas will move one way or another but over time of doing so it could stretch your pouch.
  9. I have the same problem and I'm finding myself get dehydrated.
  10. It's day 11 post op for me and I feel the same way. I woke up from surgery with numbness in my left legs and I after I eat soup I get dumping syndrome everytime and end up feeling sick for like 3 hours. I'm trying to see the bright side to the surgery but so far with all my feelings I totally regret ever doing it. I hope these sick and fatigued spells go away.
  11. Mine got rescheduled because my surgeon fell of his bike and jammed his thumb.
  12. Ok so when I woke up from surgery my left leg had the feeling it was a sleep all the way from my butt to my foot. My surgeon said its normal and it was from my positioning on the table. My surgery took 5 hours. He said the feeling would come back over time. Well it's day 9 post op and I still have the pins and needles feeling in my foot and leg and can't walk without a walker. I'm so scared I did this surgery to be healthy for my 2 year old son but now it seems I've lost me leg. Has anyone else ever experienced anything like this??
  13. Thanks guys I'm having a really tough time with this so the support is great.
  14. It seems like anytime I try to eat soup or anything other then my protein shake. I get the worst stomach cramps and end up with diarrhea. It's so frustrating I feel so ill. I don't know what to do anymore. I'm 7 days post op. Am I eating too fast? Or does anyone know what's causing this??
  15. Today is my 7th day post op and I'm so fatigued I can hardly get off the couch or do much of anything. Is this normal?
  16. Hi my name is Steve I had my surgery just about a week ago on July 16th. I can't say my recovery has been that smooth. First my surgery got delayed by a week which meant another week of pre op liquids, then we get to the hospital for my scheduled time and they tell me it's delayed again by a few hours. I almost walked away from everything right then, but stuck with it. I laid on the surgery table at about 3:30pm and didn't come to in recovery until around 8:45pm they told me everything went well the surgery took 5 hours. I woke up with the feeling as if my left side was totally asleep, to this day below my waist still feels that way which makes it hard to walk. They told me its normal and due to being positioned on the table funny for 5 hours. (I'm not so sure) I'm now home and trying to do good but it's hard not being able to walk. I get at least 25-34 oz of Water in me and normally 8oz of Protein shake. I'm trying to get those numbers up but the gas pains come on so strong at times I just can't fit anymore in. I am new to this board and want to thank you all. You all are my rock in me trying to get through this!! Starting weight of weight loss journey 511lbs Pre op diet weight 467lbs After pre op diet 435lbs As of today post op 425lbs
  17. Thank you everyone you all have been so great. I've been having a lot of trouble with gas build up to the point if its crippling. We are going to try and take milk out of my diet while making my protein.
  18. I'm having problems getting all my water and protein it's day 4 for me after my surgery and only my second night home but I am finding it very hard to take in all my protein and water. I am peeing very little and it's super dark so I'm guessing dehydrated. Any tips??? Thanks.
  19. Nope no complications he said it went great I'm not really sure why it took so long I was the last surgery of the day didn't go on the table until 330 and woke up in recovery at 830ish. I finally passed a little gas which was great still have more to pass. My biggest fear now is the numbess my hand has started to get a little better but my leg is still terrible.
  20. I talked to my surgeon he said there are no nerves in the are he did the stabs, but maybe you are right about the gas. The surgeon really had no idea why I had the numbess he thinks its because my surgery took 5 hours and I might of been positioned funny. Either way it's a terrible feeling it makes walking almost impossible I hope it passes soon.
  21. I had my surgery July 16th and woke up with sever numbess and tingling in my left arm, left lag, and left groing area plus not to be gross but my anus is numb too. It's been 3 days now and I'm still very numb in those area and can't pass gass so I have extreme gas pains!! Any tips or help would be great.
