  3. Hi guys I had my RNY July 16th and there are times after I eat that I get very ill I'm not sure if its dumping syndrome or not. Today I tried egg salad mind you I have had eggs with problem but after the eggs salad about an hour and a half later I got really ill with nausea, head ache, and the feeling of diarrhea. I went to the bathroom and had a BMW it was soft but formed but I still had the stomach cramps for a long time after. I don't know if I'm eating too fast or what. I know a meal should last 30mins but it was a tiny amount of egg salad made with one egg hard to make last. Please throw me some tips I don't want to feel like this.
  4. I have a question about pills and malabsorption after gastric bypass. I'm almost 4 weeks post op and had to have emergency back surgery last week (2 surgeries in 3 weeks) and I'm in a lot of pain. They got me taking pain pills for the back pain to recover from the surgery but the pills don't seem to work. Is there something I can do? I'm afraid it's from the malabsorption that the pain pills aren't working.
  5. I'm a 911 dispatcher and work third shift. I never sleep, but I found out taking a Xanax before I got to bed helps most of the time. I also have ambien which makes me feel dumb the next day, and malatonin which never works for me.
  6. I am three weeks post op and have noticed on one of my incision sites there is a large bump about the size of a large grape or maybe a little bigger then that. It's a tiny bit sore to the touch. Should i be concerned?
  7. I take flinstones advanced chewables they have a metal after taste but its not bad.
  8. My first week my pee was super dark I'm just under three weeks post op and it's getting a little better now just got to drink as much fluids as possible. I was too scared to drink to much since they told me to make 1 ounce of Water to last 15 mins but I can't do that I drink faster then that and so far i haven't had a problem from it.
  9. My 5 hour number makes me feel like something was wrong with mine.
  10. I had my surgery July 16th it took just about 5 hours to complete and when I woke up my left arm from the elbow down was asleep and my left leg from the butt down the back and left side to my toes was a sleep. Since my surgery my arm has improved about 90% but my leg has not it still fells numb and a sleep. My surgeon told me its from positioning on the table and would go away in time but I'm not so certain. I'm really scared since I had no mobility problems before surgery and I did this surgery to be healthy for my 2yo son, but now since my leg is numb it makes walking super hard and I have limited mobility. I'm making myself sick in the head thinking I will never be able to walk normal again. Has anyone ever heard of anything like this?? I need some answers to ease my mind.

  17. I'm 13 days post op and have not had a solid BM movement I've been having stomach cramps which lead to either very loose stool or diarrhea. I'm not sure if this is normal since I haven't had solid food in 5 weeks now due to 3 weeks liquid pre op diet and now 2 weeks liquid post op. anyone else experience really loose stool? It's driving me crazy. Sorry for gross topic.
  18. Hm my surgeon said it was fine to take Percocet just not anti inflammatories yet back they cause the blood to thin and I'm still healing but he said in time I would be able to take those too.
