I am officially, comfortably in a size 16!!!! And this morning I dropped to 168 after being stuck around 172 for two whole weeks! Happy, happy, happy! :-)

Today went amazing! I cannot believe I'm on the loser's bench! My pain has only been at a 2 all day. I'm able to get up and go to the bathroom and I've walked around the nurses station twice already! Get to go home tomorrow. My amazing husband is here with me and helping me out A LOT!!! I am sooooo blessed!!! Hope everyone else is doing well! I've been thinking of all of you

Hi! Just wanted to join you guys! My surgery is this Thursday the 22nd! Can't wait hope everyone that has had surgery is doing well and on the road to recovery, it will all be worth it!

Y'all have inspired me. Tomorrow I am getting mani/pedi and waxing the brows! I also need to mail two packages I have. Honestly I am writing it here so I don't forget.
Wednesday I will be finishing up the house-cleaning and laundry. I'm so excited!

Today I start all liquid and I woke up all nervous because in my dream I had a salad! Hahah

Not from there, I live about 15 min from Abbott hospital. This is the best facility and Im sure you'll like it. Their pillows suck though, I recommend taking your own when you head down for the surgery good luck!!

The dreams are normal. I did a Water fast once for 27 days and had those same dreams. I would have to ask my husband if what I dreamt happened several times. It was crazy.

My wife and I arrived at the hospital and checked in together ... We however will not be in the same room due to the fact we have similar names and have a name alert.. They don't want any mistakes .. We both got our Iv's and regular check up stuff .. Now I guess we chill for a few hours.. Will keep you posted..

I know that everyone recovers differently and is per drs orders but I am wondering what to expect after surgery as far as taking care of my 14 month old busy boy. He is pretty good about playing on his own, I am just concerned about carrying him down the stairs (we live in an old house so all of the bedrooms are upstairs) My husband leaves for work at 5:45 in the morning and doesn't usually get home until 6 or 8 at night. I'm not concerned about getting rest because he sleeps in pretty late and takes a 2 hour nap everyday.
Should I plan on having someone come stay with me to help out? And if so, for how long?

Facebook is worse than tv lately!!

Good luck, I'm on day 5. Smooth sailing so far, for the most part, I don't leave the house much and since we have Netflix and no cable I luckily don't have to worry about food commercials, it just the recipes that ppl post on Facebook! Darn it!

How is everybody doing??? I'm doing good. Afraid to eat or drink too much, but no complications at all!!

Today I was just realizing that I could buy a frilly lacy bra with only two hooks if I wanted... It hadn't dawned on me!

Just went clothes shopping (at a thrift store until I get to a steady size) and bought a bunch of shirts size M and L and pants in 12's!!!!!! I'm 9 weeks out tomorrow and wore a size 20-22 bottom and a 1-2x top. I'm in shock!

I am a visual learner. I love looking at people's before and after pictures and can't find a thread on here already dedicated to that. I so far only have before pics because my surgery isn't until August 8th but I would love to see others pics as inspiration!

It is a bit silly but I met my ex husband when I was 19. We got divorced about 5 years ago. But this week a guy asked me for my number and took me on a date for the FIRST time in my entire life. 34 years! Totally have no idea how to handle this but holy moly it's kinda fun!

This week my stepdaughter told me she had a surprise for me. So she runs upstairs and grabs a pair of her size 10 jeans, runs back down and was like try them on! I said I don't think these will fit they are just too tiny. She kept saying try them on, you don't see that you really are that small so I hop in the bathroom thinking there is no way they will even fit around my thigh.....and then they did and they zipped and buttoned with no problems! She even gave them to me
