  1. You do look fantastic! Thankyou for the inspiration! Yes why are people so mean?
  2. Thank you for sharing your story and pictures. It makes it seem more possible and reachable for me. I am so jealous of your new lease on life!
  3. If your tushy gets sore frome diarrhea dab with baby wipes, do not rub. Keep really clean after every stool, wash well. Too much information? Better than not enough.
  4. I decided rouxeny because i only want to do this once. Gold Standard blah blah blah.
  5. I am really worried about this postop issue... I have a big depression history and hide it. So i started taking 5htp to boost my serotonin and gingko biloba. Already was taking effexor. I sure hope i get through okay - doing whatever i can to prepare.
  6. Yesterday I bought a 3x Miraclesuit pantygirdle (ughh! That sounds awful) Brcause someone said her doctor told her if you wear tight fitting clothes your skin will not droop so much, will shrink in the right place - also since i am down 35 pounds since i started the "journey" i have discovered at least 8 pairs of size 24 jeans in my closets. Up and down for 30 years will do that? So goodwill is gonna have a big windfall of fat clothes this year . My surgical date is sept 3, 2013. An inch at a time.
  7. Yes we have worked hard and long on this- so they know we really mean it. I am Not gonna flake out after all this preparation. Remember, in two years we should be able to eat whatever we like, but hopefully will have learned to make healthier choices and smaller proportions
  8. Baribest.com had Unjury Protein'd Cheese Sauce- Unjury website said it was sold out. Baribest had lots of recipes using unjury proteins. I ordered some, is it good?
  9. Thankyou i will check it out
  10. But after surgery you wont be hungry- - i am counting on that. I really blew it bigtime sunday, but was back on the diet today -
  11. Yes the diet pepsi or diet coke was so hard to give up. I have weaned myself off many times over the years, only to get back on it. But i hope i can stay off now. The biggest problem with carbonated drinks is it expands your pouch. Also i have broken my teeth a few times. I think maybe from the acidic diet soda, i drank at least a six pack a day. I better be done after surgery. I have been off it now mostly for 5 months. When i drink it i get a hot flush and bad sweats, red face - sulfites allergy maybe.
  12. Hang in there Sami you can do this! i have been freaking out off and on, one thing that really helped me was people say "in two years you probably will be able to eat anything, but if you have followed the rules you will have trained yourself to eat healthier foods in smaller proportions, " so hold on tight, we are gonna have a two year adventure!
  13. Too cute. Maybe i can save some of my cuter logo tshirts...
  14. Im preop, drink 4 cups coffee on my night shift or i will never make it. Whatever can i do??
  15. Shaker bottles? What kind do you have/like- havent bought anything yet
  16. So happy for you! And you give me hope!
  17. My RN said i should try ULTRAM it is the mildest NSaid but also narcotic class. That with tylenol. So i quit taking ibuprofen preop, only took ibuprofen once when i super miserable . I like the ultram but i cannot work or drive with it- it is a narcotic. I try to limit taking the ultram because i dont want my body to get used to it. It is for emergencies only. I have to limit or avoid altogether the Nightshade plants- tomato, bell peppers, eggplant. I can only have a little of those daily- they hurt my joints really bad. I am still preop. My doc said if i was not able to get off the big Nsaids he would not do the surgery.
  18. Yeah! Totally! Wish they had to wear electric dog collars, i would zap 'em! Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk
  19. I have felt harassed about my weight for years but it just made me more angry and obstinate. First Dad and strangers, then Mom & strangers, and one brother even called me up and screamed at me about my weight 2 yrs ago just because he had lost weight, guess he felt superior? (he gained all back plus some) karma. Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk
  20. I have a big Splenda cookbook that i love. costco had it a couple years ago. Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk
  21. I certainly wont be drinking alcohol. Last time i had a drink i realized my chompers get excited and i chomp fast and forget how fast and how much i am eating. Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk
  22. I have been told that those microbe changes or hormone changes are likely to fix or ease my insulin resistance/ diabetes. I might be able to lose a little more on my own, but then again, probably not (as per my 30 year obese history) . And the insulin/diabetes issue is what really made my mind up to go through with RNY. Any time i start to waffle on my decision, i remember that, and words like "stroke" or "blood clot" related to diabetes- i still have so many places i want to see. Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk
