  1. Good, I'm hoping to learn and take notes from others. I will be activie in this group, now that I have a date.
  2. Ok....my new surgery date is June 10th....oh, wow!!
  3. Hello fellow June Surgeries....I got a phone call from my insurance company this morning and I was approved, just got off the phone with my Surgeon's office and I have a DATE!!! Yaayyyy....June 27th....possibly June 10th, she's checking. However, I think I'd rather do June 10th because I'd like to have a few weeks under my belt by the 4th of July and my birthday which is July 24th...I'm sooo excited, yet a little nerveous.

  5. Congratulations, I'm going to follow you and see how you progress. I was hoping to find someone that is about my size and was approved for surgery. I'm 5'3 and weigh 227; I have high blood pressure, gout, authritis, had Pulomonary Embolism, GERD. I called the insurance company today and they said they received my paperwork on 5/14/13, asked for additional information on 5/15/13, received the additional information on 5/23/13, now it's up for review once again. I will call them again next week and I hope it's approved. My coordinator told me not to worry that my procedure will be approved, I wish I shared the same feelings as my coordinator. But, anyhow, CONGRATULATIONS!!
  6. That's what I'm afraid off when I have my sergery...the gas and not being able to pass the gas...I'm already a very gassy person and sometimes it is difficult for me to pass gas no before surgery....I'm praying that I don't have that problem when time comes...I'm glad you are able to fart now, it sounds funny but it isn't, farting is serious and can be painful.
  7. Keep up the good work, don't give up, stay encouraged.
  8. @iamworthit, I am praying for you and to give you hope, every woman I know that has had WLS, got pregnant well after losing all the weight, heck, it even scared me, LOL....It's your season girl, you will have your child.
  9. I wish you much luck and I'm new to this site as well, and I enjoy reading about everyone expereince before and after surgery...it keeps me motivated to believeing I'm making the right decision. I am 42 and ready, I'm hoping to get a surgery date sometimes next month. All my paper work has been submitted to my insurance company, my coordinator feels confident that I would get approved within two weeks, it's been one week already....I'm so ready. Keep me posted with your progress.
  10. Im 43 years old now but I had my tonsils removed when I was 22 years old and yes it was painful, feel better.
  11. I told my close family and a few friends and some co-workers, only because my hospital were I work is very small and I don't need the gossip upon my return, when I arrive 20 maybe something lbs lighter. Lol
  12. Im praying for you, just keep the faith, God will see you through. Im praying for a positive response from my insurance company as well.
  13. I meant "Am I there yet" lol Hello, I'm new to this however, I have a few comments and questions. First let me tell you I really like this site, other than me YouTubing, researching, reading...I lm ready mentally. I just decided to have weight lost surgery as of April, my coordinator has submitted my paper work to the insurance company already and said I will be ready for surgery one day in June 2013, that's quick, after reading that it took most people a little over a year. My coordinator seem so confident that I will receive a yes, my insurance also covers 100%, that's a Blessing. So, I've gotten clearance from the psychologist, Pulmonologist, Cardiologist, my PCP. I am scheduled for stress test and endoscopy, I guess the last step would be to meet with the surgeon again and the nutritionist. I know Um making the right decision because of my health. My husband is supportive as well as my adult daughter. Sorry let me introduce myself, I am 42 year old female, married with one adult child, my last weight in was 229, I'm 5'3, I'm looking to weight between 135 to 145, I'm mainly doing this because I recently had a few health problems due to my weight, I been taking blood pressure pills since I was 26, I recently been diagnosed with gout (oh so painful), I just suffered with Pulmonary Embolisim, I have GERD, I have arthritis in my left knee, in other words, I need help, I'm too young to have all these ailment. Your comments and suggestions are welcomed. Ps...ready to be a loser.
  14. Congratulations, keep us posted. My coordinator told me my surgery date will be one day in June, he's soooo positive my insurance we agree to pay, boy I hope he's right.
