I was wondering if baby food was a good substitute, then I thought about it, we would be like babies again, learning how to eat all over again after this surgery.- June surgeries!
Thank you, I took it about two weeks ago.- Backed out of surgery... twice :(
Yeah, I agree with everyone, a friend of mine who had the surgery told me something that stuck to me, she said "don't explain your reasoning to having weight loss surgery", she told me that it was my decision regardless of what anyone else thought. When I told my husband, daughter, and mom, they all were totally against it, they were concerned, but after I kept educating them, they are on board; they would rather see me healthy than sick all the time, taking different medications; sure they are still conerned but hey, it's what I want to do, I can't tell you that I'm 100% ready, I just know I got to do this to be healthy, I will be 43, I want to feel and look the part.- June surgeries!

Yes, I've read somewhere that if you suffer from certain types of arthritis, due to obesity, most likely it will go away, gout is a form of arthritis, along with high levels of uric acid.- June surgeries!

Where did you get your sample packs from?- IVC Filter
- June surgeries!
Thanks, it helps.- IVC Filter
My surgery date is June 10, 2013 and my surgeon wants me to have an IVC Filter lodged in me on June 6th, it's to prevent a person that has a history of blood clots (Pulmonary Embolism), this tools is suppose to catch blood clots that break lose, it prevents clots from reaching your lungs or heart. Has anyone else had this procedure, if so, does it hurt and was it difficult to remove after surgery? Thanks, all comments are welcomed!!- June surgeries!
I got a question, has anyone had IVC Filter placed before surgery, any surgery? I was diagnosed with Pulmonary Embolism (blood clot in my lungs) in December 2012, I was on Coumadin from Dec. until April of 2013. Because of this, my surgeon is requesting that I have IVC Filter placed before surgery to lesson my chances of PE (blood clot in the lungs), I'm a little scared, they will be placing an umbrella like tube in my main vein through my neck that will be lodged in my stomach to catch any blood clot that moves, this sounds so scary, but I know its just added measure for me to have a successful surgery. Please let me know if you will have this as well or has had it in the past, does it hurt? Do you feel it inside of you? and did you have any complications with removal?- June surgeries!
Yeah, I know what you mean, I spent Saturday with my lil sister and I was telling her (she's not my biological sister, I adapted her when she moved her from out of town), anyhow, I told her I was having the surgery and that I was over 100 lbs overweigh and she looked at me and was like, where you hiding a 100 lbs...she said she can't see it....I get that reaction when I tell people I'm well over 200 lbs, they look at me with amazement, because I guess I'm not shaking all over the place when I move, anyhow, I weigh more than my husband and his pretty much fit...So, yeah, I don't like it when people tell me you don't look overweight, but heck, all the medications I take for gout, high blood pressure, arthuritis, and PE I'm on says "yes, you fat azz hell", lol - June surgeries!
