Just returned home from seeing the psychologist, last visit with the dietatian, and actually spent time with the case manager. Scheduled for my pre-op class on the 22nd. Everything then will be submitted for insurance approval and then the surgery date. Glad this is coming to a close, as I'm so worried I will put on weight since my band has been removed. Been working my rear-end off not to do that, so far it has worked, but still scared that I will and I really don't want to go through having to take it back off. Hope everyone is doing well and not having any problems. I've noticed the weight loss that you have all posted. Congrats doesn't it feel good watching those pounds slipping away? Okay guys keeping posting it is always good to see what you all have accomplished.

Got the band out on 5/23/13 and just received a call for KC Bariatic, they received the clearance from the cardiologist, waiting on the one from the pulmonologist which is on the way. See my PCP for weigh in on 17th and that will be it. See the dietatian on Thursday and then have to do something else, which I think I might have already done. Will know more of what it is, nurse is leaving a packet for me. So it looks like surgery in August for the bypass. Thank goodness, didn't want to fight any weight gain and think a couple of monthss will be manageable.

Hope everyone is doing good. I can't wait for next week. No more hunger and I can't wait for this liquid diet to be over!!!

Sounds good. I am very hopeful. I am excited for Monday because it will be my last visit with the surgeon before surgery.

Good luck! I went to the seminar in December and had to go through 3 months of physician assisted dieting. I finished my classes in the beginning of April and knew two weeks later that I was approved.

My suggestion is to go try all of the gyms and see which one is a best fit for you. Most gyms have as part of the new comer package a chance to work with a personal trainer. Once you find a gym that feels right to you ask for that free time. Ask them for a work out program that will help you achieve your goals.
Things to ask yourself about each gym:
Do you feel comfortable working out there?
Is it easy to get to from work or home?
Is the price reasonable?
Do they have classes I want to take?
Do they have a pool?
Are the locker rooms clean?
Do they have reasonable hours of operation?
