Well after 4 months of supervised nut classes and 1 psych eval, tomorrow I meet with the surgeon for my last appt before surgery. I do not have date set yet because surgeon will have to send all my info to my insur company and then I just need to wait for approval. It will be here before I know it! What are some things you asked your surgeon before surgery?

For the last 18 years I have been involved in a 12 step program. I have used food as my vice/substitution. Once I have surgery in a few months, what will I have left? That question keeps going on in my head. Hopefully, just maybe, I will become a exercise junky. Anyone else suffer from any addiction?

I have UHC and they are covering my bypass. For those who it does not cover, talk to your employer.

After 2 hours my psych test and interview are done. Was not bad at all. Well good news, I can tell my husband he was wrong---I am not crazy. lol

My psych eval is today. Can not wait to get it over with.

My insurance requires 6 months supervised weight loss class/doc visits/psych eval. I am on month 3 and it seems like such a long time away. I am getting really tired of this time frame.... But on a positive note, I know after surgery I will have a whole new me for the rest of my life. I can not wait for what the future holds.

Day 5 of my diet. Things are well and I bring my lunch everyday. Today at work they are suppling pizza for everyone. None for me!!!! But I do admit, it smells good.

So tomorrow I start my diet to loose 20 pounds and get the liver ready for surgery. High protein, no carbs and no sugar. Along with no caffeine. Wish me luck!

I have UHC. Have to do a 6 month doctor supervised diet. I have to pay co-pays for nutrition classes. The surgery itself, insurance covers 80% and I get billed the rest (after surgery). I do have to pay psych eval up front. Do not know about tummy tucks. Good question.

I have UHC and already have a nurse. Meet with my doctor and nutritionist yesterday. I scheduled my pysch eval for June. I am 80/20 also. Do you have to do the whole 6 month wait on your policy also?
