Anyone else feel crappy today? I was alive and kicking yesterday, but today has been rough. Couldn't get fluids, soups or jello in today. Totally sucks :-(

Was alright yesterday, but sure hurting today. All I want to do is sleep. Made tacos for the family, but didn't even think about the food. I think I am going to really struggle getting liquids in today. Ugh.... SO TIRED!!

Water, Water, Water
It wasn't bad, it was better than cream Soup. LOL! I have been really creative trying to get Protein into the cream Soups because I want to make sure that I am hitting my quota and I am sick of Protein shakes. Happily, the burrito (filling only that I blended) was fine, did not have any reaction to it at all. AWESOME! I feel so much better today than I have been, I finally feel like I am healing.

Aww no bueno! Hope you guys are feeling better. I slacked a little today with the fluids but ate an little more. It was bad, I blended 2 spoonfuls of my spouse's beef burrito. I couldn't take it anymore, needed something other than soup. Ugh, will probably pay for it later.

What ya eating tonight?
Blended cream of potato soup with deli turkey. It tastes pretty good, but I am soooo sick of soup. I just wanna chew some food!

Water, Water, Water
I know it is tough, but I try to just keep drinking and then peeing. It seems to be really repetitive but that is the only way I could get it to work. After a couple days, it was a lot easier.

Shoot, I can do about 40oz water and then a protein shake and some SF jello, and a few bites of creamy soup a day. I cannot possibly eat/drink anything else. I was told to take on another protein shake and I have NO CLUE how that is going to happen. And after the vitamins... holy cow!

I was reading today that some RNY patients donate it to burn victims for graphing. I think that is awesome! But I would totally want to shank someone for asking me in that way, if that is how they said it to you. I didn't tell anyone, people are cruel no matter what.

I tried to look for them, there are so many options. I just started using a pillowcase folded in half and wrapped around me. It helps a lot and Ice has done wonders for allowing me to sleep. I feel like keeping my tummy practically frozen has helped with the muscle pain, and the burning sensation around the left side incision from all the stretching. On another note, my family had green chili chicken last night, and I wanted some SOOO BAD! I almost caved too. It was totally sad.- What ya eating tonight?
Omg that sounds soooo good right now!- Aunt Flo is back again? seriously!
What foods work for you so far? I have been fine eating soups and even added string cheese (really chewing it though). 16lbs is great! I am curious what I have lost but the curiosity hasn't trumped the pain yet. Maybe tomorrow. I will keep you updated. :-)- Aunt Flo is back again? seriously!
Yeah, 4/15 was the day. Honestly, I have been hurting so much when I stand up that I have only stood on the scale once since I have been home. At that point, I had gained a lot due to IV and gas, but have lost most of that now. I am sure that I have lost weight, I feel smaller in my clothes and chair. I am glad I am not the only one who started theirs too, and I heard back from my surgeon who said it is normal at this point to have one that lasts. All I can think is why would my body add this pain to everything else right now? I have hardly been doing any walking but have done well with the full liquid. How have you been doing?- Aunt Flo is back again? seriously!
Okay so for all my fellow PCOS sufferers, we know that there are long times between cycles and that is usual. I hadn't had a period for almost a year before January. Then with all the weight loss prior to surgery (-43 lbs), I had three in a row. I had one that started on 4/9 and lasted 3 or 4 days. Then had surgery on 4/15, and am in pain now. Just noticed that a period started this am. Has anyone else had this issue?- April 2013 Post-Op Group
I used the pain meds, a heating pad, and really isolated which muscle was pulled and worked really hard not to use it. I think making smart moves was the most important thing to help with being able to get some rest last night. But, I do have to say that getting up this am was REALLY hard to do. I wanted to sleep so bad, and I did sleep. But not moving for so many hours in a row sure caused pain when I did move. Now I am back to the chair. Ugh...- How long until pureed foods?

I am soooo happy right now! Figured out which muscle not to use and how to stand and move without causing more pain. I was able to rest today, and didn't have too many bad moments. Got some food in. Now, above all else, I have figured out a way to lay down in my own bed for the first time since surgery 6 days ago. Feels so good to be laying down instead of sitting up in my chair all night. Goodnight losers.- What ya eating tonight?
I did well! I just had about 5 spoonfuls and I was full. I just let it settle a bit and then took the part that didn't have too much egg in it.- 8 months out almost at goal
Wow! Congratulations! That is awesome!!- How long until pureed foods?
How long did you have to wait until you could have pureed foods? There are so many variations, just hoping to get an average. HW 391 PreSW 348 PostSW 358 CW 351- What ya eating tonight?
Gonna have egg drop soup for the first time since surgery 6 days ago. Hopefully it goes well.- April 2013 Post-Op Group
I wasn't eating much until yesterday. Just wasn't hungry, too much pain. I know that protein heals muscles and incisions so I am trying to get my protein in today. It is not easy at all when you feel full.- April 2013 Post-Op Group
I haven't been able to go. Not cool.- April Dates
I am with you guys, the surgery went fine and everything but I am hurting Sooo much right now! Every time I move it feels exactly like that. I was actually thinking of heading back to the hospital because of the pain but just don't think there is anything they can really do if it is muscular. I haven't had one night of sleep or been able to lay in my own bed since I have been home. It is very frustrating and painful. - April 2013 Post-Op Group
