  1. Wow it is really hard to eat right when traveling. We went on a last minute weekend getaway, and I know I didn't eat the right things. I was soooo thirsty the whole time. What saved me while we were eating out with the family was my sugar free fruit punch mix and just ordering meat. It is WAY more difficult to do than I thought.
  2. Half a turkey burger patty with cheese, a bit of grilled pork chops, and about 1/4th of a corn tortilla.
  3. What is your surgery date and how many ozs are you eating? I'm just curious when everyone went to 4 ozs.
  4. Geez, glad to know I am not the only one that feels like crap today. Eating okay but just not feeling well. I haven't had the energy or motivation to clean or shop or anything. I feel like I need to go spend time on a beach with a cool breeze and remember why I am working so hard to have a longer life, so that I can enjoy it. Gotta get outta this funk but how???
  5. Yep, I bought the fat free refried beans too! I even added an egg white to it in the morning. Beans, cheese and salsa. Sooo yummy.
  6. Yes!!! I am on a stall right now too! I thought I was doing something wrong. It feels frustrating.
  7. I tried chicken earlier and my pouch doesn't like it. So I made 3 grilled shrimp and put it in half of a corn tortilla. Added some low fat sauce. It is YUMMY!!!
  8. I tried one small piece of unbreaded chicken with no sauce from Panda Express (Checked the nutritional info first and it wasn't bad for just an oz or two) but my pouch is freaking out! Guess I am back to refried beans and ground beef crumbles with salsa. Ugh... no more Panda Express for me.
  9. I use the MyFitnessPro app and it calcs all of my protein every day. I don't have to enter anything, there is a scanner on it and I just click and it uploads all the nutritional info automatically. It is awesome! It even shows how much exercise you do and the water you take in. Pretty cool!!
  10. 1.2 oz fat free refried beans, 1 oz lean ground beef, small amount of cheese and salsa. Omg was delicious!!!
  11. Aww honey, I hope you feel better. It is always frustrating when even water isn't working.
  12. Was so sick of the protein shakes that I have been able to take in enough protein with food only in the last three days. Yay!!! I don't think I can choke down another shake for awhile. I have been getting in 70-90 grams a day.
  13. headaches come on when you are dehydrated. Might need to take in some more water. :-)
  14. Guess the week 3 stall has happened. I have only lost about 1lb in the last three days, I was averaging a pound a day before that. I have been getting in all my protein and water, maybe just with the change to soft foods this is happening? Very frustrating though!
  15. Grilled trout from Longhorn Steakhouse! Yummy! First time I have eaten out since surgery. Def strange trying to make sure I made the right choices. I think my pouch (which I affectionately call Millie- which is short for Milagros and means miracle in Spanish) loves fish and does not just hold 2 oz. I am pretty sure I ate a little over 3 oz. I am full but not hurting. Maybe because I ate very slowly. It went well. Is anyone eating carbs? How much are you eating? I have only eaten protein since surgery, but I have little energy.
  16. Thanks for asking that! I have been wondering about it.
  17. When did you start eating chicken? I heard that was the most difficult thing to eat. I am worried about it but would love to have some yard bird. Lol!
  18. Awww man, I think we have been at 106 already this year a few times. I want to move somewhere that isn't so friggin hot! I don't remember what winter is like, but I love my little moments at night when it is only 70 or so and nice and cool!
  19. Geez I hope so! I am always thirsty now because of the heat where I live. Could really use more water. Worried about getting dehydrated during the 120 weather that will happen pretty soon.
  20. When I started soft foods, I just took a couple bites and then waited for about 10-15 minutes to see if anything would happen. I was petrified of dumping. I have been able to eat a lot of things, had no problems with it. I started out with really soft food like tilapia. I would eat a few bites, then have a few sips of the protein shake in the beginning to make sure that my tummy could handle the soft stuff and to avoid getting constipated. That worked really well. I did the same thing with everything I tried u til I knew my pouch could handle it. Salmon burgers from Walmart were really easy to eat and like 22g of protein for 2.8oz (I split it into 2 meals and added some cheese on both of them to up the protein. Was really soft. Good luck hun!! You are probably soooo excited to finally be at the soft food stage. We had surgery the same day, I can hardly imagine waiting that long to progress.
