  1. I have the cool strips too!!!
  2. I'm not sure I can crush zantac?
  3. Thank goodness ya'll think it's okay. I've got zantac to take and I'll do that right now. I'll go down to broth and protein drinks for a few days. I'm not getting enough protein anyway and see if that helps.
  4. And thanks y'all. I'm freaking out
  5. I'm eating full liquid still. Yesterday I did yogurt and ricotta mixed with spaghetti sauce. I thinned it out with chicken broth. I also eat refrained beans that way.
  6. Okay, I know I'm a newbie to the pouch thing. Here's what happened. I knew I didn't get my Water all in yesterday. I made a glass before bed and was sitting here drinking it. I don't know how much I drank in the 30 minutes before bed but I was just sipping. A lot, though. My pouch felt full and I was worried I'd overdone it. This morning I wake up and my pouch hurts and I'm nauseous Could I have hurt my pouch with too much water? I didn't chug or guzzle it. I took 5 sips this morning because I'm super thirsty and 2 of them came back up. I haven't spit anything up until this. Should I call my surgeon? What could it be? I'm scared.
  7. I had 11/2 medicine cups of ricotta mixed with homemade spaghetti sauce with Parmesan. I put it through the blender.
  8. You give me hope! I called the nurse and asked if it was normal and she said it was. Now I'm just disappointed in myself for not losing anything.
  9. sigh. I'm the only one that hasn't lost weight from the april 1st crowd? I feel like a failure. I did also start my period...so maybe that's some of it. I am so very absolutely disappointed in myself.
  10. I had surgery the same day and I'm the same weight as the day of surgery! I'm so jealous!
  11. I took my own underwear, stretchy pants and tshirts along with sports bras. I felt so much better being out of that gown. As soon as they took my catheter out I was in my own stuff and asked to have my iv unhooked for 5 minutes to get a sports bra and shirt on. I also took slip on tennis shoes. I didn't have to bend to put them on and I didn't have to walk on those floors with bare feet.
  12. So, where were you sore after surgery? I have pain right in the middle über the rib age. You know, if you drew a line from one nipple to the other, my sore spot would be in the middle of that line, about 1 inch down. Is that normal? Is that my pouch?
  13. My insurance wouldn't pay but 4k of mine. I took out my student loans, something I'd never done before, and called the surgeon. It all took less than 2 months from curiosity to surgery. I almost wished I had more time to think about things...but the outcome would have been the same and this kept me from bailing out.
  14. Call your surgeons office and stay hydrated. I hope nothing is seriously wrong. Let us know. It could very well be a stomach bug or something.
  15. Thats strange...I ate some chobani earlier and noticed that mine was running! Maybe that's my trigger notice too.
  16. Not as bad as I was worried about. I have 5 small incisions on my belly. My inside is sore. Lying in the hospital bed made my hips hurt...I had really bad gas and finally ended up having to use some meds to get stuff going. I'm still getting rid of it. Mine was so bad it was putting pressure on my ability to breath and cough. Just too much all in there. If I bend or something it feels like one of my incisions rips. I don't think it does...it just feels that way. The catheter removal was fine. i couldn't even feel it in at the time and the removal just stung. I had an issue where where I swelled after the cath and wasn't peeing on my own. I had to run my hand under water and kind of meditate to relax everything or they were going to recath me. It's not all that bad. The drugs were good. I'd give a lot to still have my Morphine pump. I had my hand on that button the whole time.
  17. Gas pains. Incision pains. Nope, shouldn't have tried to bend down and get that pains. The cath didn't hurt and I just had mine removed a few days ago.
  18. Well, he also sent me home with percocet pills. I trust him....but it didn't say to crush them or anything. So, I've been swallowing them whole. I don't know. The nurse in the hospital gave me one. It kind of freaked me out.
  19. Thank you! Y'all made me feel better. I'm paranoid I'll do something wrong!
  20. Where is the pouch? is it in the center of my stomach? I'm still sore. I'm just worried I'll cause a leak or something.
  21. Surgery was on the 1st. I measure it all out...but it doesn't take me 20 minutes to drink 2 tablespoons. I can make the food last longer...I worry about the drinking though. I can literally drink a medicine cup in a minute or so while not thinking and it doesn't hurt....but I'm worried I'll end up hurting my pouch. I'm still on liquids. They gave me recipes for cheesy grits and harvest food and such...I haven't eaten a ton. I just don't know what it feels like full.
  22. Congratulations! You're lucky. I paid 12k out of pocket for mine.
  23. I'm worried I'm drinking to fast. I'm worried I'm eating too much. I just don't know. I can't judge right now. I'm not sick feeling. I haven't thrown anything up. Can I hurt myself by drinking to quick?
