Hello everyone! Surgery was the 20th and I got to go home on the 22nd. While I'm the hospital I was well taken care of. Needles went in and fine. The catheter ( which really scared me a little) went in fine ( I think, though I was sleep). However the doc did say they would also take it out while I was sleep. They did not, they took it out while I was waking up from the anaesthesia. I remember it but not really so I was pleased with that as well. The first night I woke every 2 hours ( literally) to use the bathroom. I think that kept me from gaining extra weight. Now on post op day 9 I've lost 12lbs ( but won't make it official until my post op appointment next week). Fluids are starting to get in pretty good now and Ive been walking everyday! (Proud of my own self about that). The only thing I absolutely hate are the chewable vitamins ( man they are nasty) I have to mentally prepare myself before putting them in my mouth. Other than that God has truly been good and I'm so glad I did this. And I pray daily that this surgery will continue to be a great tool that I take advantage of daily. Hope everyone else is doing well and good luck to those still to come.- January 2013 Post Op
Thats great, congrats! What have you done to be so successful?- MAY 2013 POST-OP GROUP

Is or were anyone else hungry at times within the 1st 2 wks post op? Just wanted to see if the hungry feeling I get sometimes normal.- liver shrinkage paranoia
- liver shrinkage paranoia
What shakes are you using? I was very paranoid especially since unlike most pre op diets mine was not an all liquid diet. I think you wilk be fine as long as you stick to your diet.Account
