    Help!

I think it's normal. I seem to stall about every 20 lbs or so. I used to panic..but now I just go with the flow. Keep eating right and getting your protein and you will do fine. =o)
  2. Happy 44th Birthday SandyRI!

I think that's a great idea. I will having something to look forward to for later...I do love my chocolate! TY for responding..=o)
  4. Hi, I was worried too. I have hypothyroidism...I have had it since the 90's...I am now a little over a month out..and I have lost over 35 lbs...Considering all things..I am very happy I had the surgery! I didn't lose anything the first week...and in fact I gained from the fluids in the hospital..needless to say..I was freaked out! BUT...it started dropping off...and now I'm in clothes I had put away because they didn't fit anymore. It's a great feeling! I know is an expensive gamble...but for your health it might be worth it for you. I really wish you the best of luck!!!

How many weeks out are you? You can eat chocolate without dumping? I'm so scared to try that...

    What ya eating tonight?

I am a little over a month out...I have my crackers and cheese....with tuna. What I do is mix the tuna with fat free miracle whip...and this might sound gross to some...but I mix in a little bit of mustard. It's delicious! I have 1/4 cup of that on 2 Wheat Thins Flatbread crackers..which are huge (60 cal..1.5g fat..2 sugars..1g protein)..and 1 wedge of Laughing Cow Light French Onion cheese (35 cal..1.5g fat...1 sugar..2g protein)...I got this idea from another poster..sorry forgot who, but thank you! This makes a great meal for me..

Does anybody else get the "caught food" pain a lot? I drink water sometimes and I get it...am I doing something wrong? Eating too fast, too much, not chewing enough? I thought I was sipping the water...but I don't know...This is making me have a hard time getting in my protein...I am still drinking about 2 protein shakes a day. I am about 4 1/2 weeks out...is this normal?

I know exactly how you feel...I didn't lose anything the first week and I had gained in the hospital as well. It's frustrating..I know..but the weight will come off! I am now down 35 lbs..surgery was Jan. 9th. I also had really bad left side and back pain...took about 3 weeks to go away...the muscles were really sore. I lived with a heating pad! Just please hang in there....the pain will go away...and the weight will come off...I promise you...just takes time.

This is why I come on here and read posts. You all are so inspiring!! I don't feel so alone on this roller coaster ride. I don't think I have ever been so emotionally and physically up and down in my entire life! Thank you so much for "being there"...even though I don't post that much...I read...and it HELPS!!!! some of my NSV's...being able to take off my old jeans without unbuttoning them, positive comments from friends and family, being able to put socks on without almost having a coronary, but most of all...my back not hurting as much! woohoooooo!

My surgery was the 9th and I have only lost 28 lbs. I didn't lose anything the first week...in fact I gained because of all the fluid in the hospital. Talk about frustrating! I know how you feel...I was getting frustrated and discouraged...but we all lose the weight differently. I try to stay positive and keep on plan...I am going to start getting on the treadmill to get some exercise in. Also from other posts I have read about the dreaded "plateaus"...I think I am at one right now...I am refusing to let that get me down and concentrating on the positive. You have lost 29 lbs!! That is awesome! You just have to work through it and don't compare yourself to others! Please don't be disappointed in yourself...be proud of what you have accomplished =o)
