  1. I have tried making a couple of different protein shakes and they tasted pretty bad. Those of you that make protein shakes what are some your favorite recipes? I am not getting enough protein and would really like to have use these in my diet!
  2. I did not have a drain tube!
  3. I am 17 days post op and it does get A LOT better! I say the first week an a half was just awful for me! I feel so much better now even though I am not 100 % yet I started school back last week (wednesday) and I am able to lift my daughter w/o pain she is about 24lbs. I still get a little dizzy every now and then and I still have a little discomfort but I was so afraid when my surgeon said 4-6 weeks until i'm "me" again meant i'd still feel the same as I did in week one but I feel so much better Hope this helps!
  4. Hey guys! I am three weeks post op! Yay!! I have a pretty busy schedule with school and being a single mom so my question is What does your eating schedule look like? What time do you eat (Time between meals) and what are some helpful on the go lunch and snacks?

  8. What foods still taste good with the unflavored protein powder? I am having trouble getting all my protein in and I do not want to lose my hair :/

  10. I have when I was doing weight watchers and everybody in the meeting loved it and recommended the products to try especially the dressings.
  11. Just wondering what kind of pain medication you was sent home with and how long did you take it? I am 10 days post op and still really sore especially at night and I only have a couple doses of my pain medicine (hydrocodone) left.
  12. 5 days for me. My surgeon said not to stress "it happens when it happens"

  15. I am only nine days post op. The only nausea I have had so far is right when I woke up from surgery and it was horrible. I have never been that nauseated but it only lasted about an hour maybe a little longer and then it went away and I had no more nausea so far thank goodness!

  17. I choose bypass because I didn't want my stomach completely removed. In some worse cases like throat cancer your old stomach can be reattached even though it is rarely done I like to know it is still possible.
  18. Anyone else sent home with a 7 day supply of blood thinner shots? Just wondering if I am the only one I read it was rare to get sent home with them.
  19. I had my surgery on Thursday the 24th. How is your new pouch lol? I am still really sore but I can tolerate everything the diet allows so far and I am down 17lbs
  20. I had my surgery Thursday the 24th! The second day was the worse i'm feeling much better today just hurts really bad when I go from laying down to standing up
