Awesome job! Sounds like you have this down pat! For pizza, try doing the toppings on a low carb tortilla. I dk this at times and it is good.- Is this possible?
- I got really sick!
- Pills
I was swallowing whole pills when I was in the hospital the day after surgery. Every doctor is different but mine go down just fine and always have. Some things may be immediate release, or extended release however and this may be why he wants them crushed. One of my pills need to be changed before surgery. Follow your doctors orders!- Is this possible?
After the surgery it will take time for your nerves to regrow and for you to feel hunger and fullness! I didnt feel hungry at all or full for awhile after surgery. I was like you and had a thought that they didnt even do the surgery! It is VERY IMPORTANT that you stick to the diet that your surgeon has you on. Your new pouch needs time to heal before you add foods other then the liquids and purees. Making poor choices is what got us into our overweight problems before so it is important to follow the plan. Remember that this surgery is only a tool to help you and it is very important that you do your share in order to succeed! Hang in there and I wish you the best!- April 2013 Post-Op Group

Weighed in at 229 today! Am so excited to hit the 220's! Wasnt expecting a 3lb loss overnight but I'll take it! It is amazing how the number on the scale can make it a better day! Down 74 from 4-22 surgery and 111 total! This is still simply amazing to me!- April 2013 Post-Op Group

Have been craving them myself. Went and bought all the fixings yesterday and will be making a big salad today!- oh my god.
Voltaren gel didnt work for me either for my back issues. I use a lidocaine cream now that works great. Voltaren is by prescription only as far as I know as well.- Must haves for post op?
I used sugar free popsicles all the time at first after surgery! Still do at times; seems to settle the stomach for me. The "outshine" brand is my favorite! You can also order protein samples so after surgery you have a variety to try. That way if your taste changes you arent stuck with a big tub. Try www.nashuanutrition.com, or www.bariatricadvantage.com; you can order different sample packs of stuff to try. I had a huge supply of protein powders and I was glad I did. Also had a big supply of drink mixes like crystal light. Didnt like some at first but can drink them all now. I couldnt do plain water for some reason. Had to be flavored and ice cold!- H.
