  6. I'm still pre op so have no idea, but I totally heard my sisters voice when I read your post. I have only told a handful of people mostly family about the surgery because I don't want to hear any negative and unsolicited feed back. Today someone said "are you sure you want to do this...it's going to change your life forever". Well I hope so! That's exactly why I'm doing it! Just easier to shake your head and move on! 7. Tell him later...that will teach him to be a SKINNY sweet eater! Lol Sent from my iPad using RNYTalk / surgery date March 5, 2013
  8. On day 6 of the Optifast diet and kinda miserable. Saturday was awful, I was starving all day. I finally resorted to a small salad and felt a bit better. Sunday wasn't great either but I wasn't as hungry as yesterday. Maybe I was better with the Water and Snacks. It's all a blurr these days! Haven't tried the chicken Soup but have almost gone through a box of tomato soup. I did add some garlic, onion flakes, Italian seasoning and Parmesan cheese to make it tolerable. Helped a lot and seems to make you feel fuller than the drinks. I also have been mixing a vanilla and chocolate drink with some ice and a squirt of chocolate syrup to make "milk shakes" Shared with my boy friend and 3 year old nephew and neither would drink them! Lol. I thought it was pretty good, so it must mean I'm getting used to them! Sent from my iPad using RNYTalk / surgery date March 5, 2013
  9. BTB are you in the DC area? Sent from my iPad using RNYTalk / surgery date March 5, 2013
  10. Awesome suggestions! Thank you, I am adding to my list now!!!
  11. I have to stop reading this thread while I'm on my pre op Optifast diet! lol
  12. Water yes. Eating often and on a schedule so to speak, no...woke up with a horrible headache this morning so did not have my first shake until like 230. Had 2 at that time and tried to space out the rest. I guess I should eat the sf Popsicles and Jello in between. Did resort to a small salad for dinner. Helped a bit but not supposed to eat anything but the Optifast. Hopefully tomorrow will be better if I have a somewhat normal day (headache free). 13. Had a really hard time today with he Optifast diet. For some reason I was starving ALL day!! This was my fear all along after making the decision for surgery. God help me get thru this part of he process...I know I can handle the rest.. Sent from my iPad using RNYTalk / surgery date March 5, 2013

  16. You're right they do suck! I don't know how they can actually call them a "sleep study" with all of that stuff hooked up to you there is no way you can get a good nights sleep! Sent from my iPad using RNYTalk / surgery date March 5, 2013
  17. Oh man.... did you have to say 5 Guys?? On day 3 of Optifast and starving! Although I did just eat the chocolate bar and it was pretty good! Much better than the Peanut Butter and peanut butter with chocolate bars. I think it was the consistency, it seemed "normal" if that makes sense. Have you tried the Soups?
