I am in Alexandria, having my surgery on March 5th at Fair oaks Hospital with the Blue point group. Txsmama, I know they have a support group every month - would you like more information?

Wow that's rough BB. I have not been told to lose weight before the surgery yet although I know I will be on Protein shakes for 2-weeks prior. Can't help but lose weight when you are not eating anything! Wishing you well and success !

I just got my approval date today for March 5th. I have a list of "last meals" that I want to eat before I have surgery. Does that sound silly? I just know that my eating habits HAVE to change...so I am savoring all the pizza, fries and steak and cheeses before I move ahead to a healthier life style.

Just received my surgery date today! **March 5th** I have Carefirst BCBS and it took about 2.5 weeks to hear back. So all of my ranting was for nothing...lol. But it did help!

Ok getting my hopes up for an approval soon! Great to hear from everyone who has gone thru the process especially from the BCBS subscribers.

I have Carefirst BCBS and have been waiting 2 weeks so far. Checked with the surgical group and they said it "could" take 45 days!! I'm going crazy waiting. I have almost all of my prerequisites done so hopefully i can get a quick surgery date. Has anyone else dealt with Carefirst?
