  1. Gallbladder has no stones, so it stays... I hope that does not convert into another surgery anytime soon after my bypass surgery
  2. I was actually going to ask him if it was an option to get it removed, and then thought how they must hate for patients to make suggestions on how to do their job, hahahaha, luckily it was his suggestion... now I only hope I have at least one stone so he can remove it, LOL!
  3. I am 2 weeks away from my surgery date!!!! yeeei me...
  4. So I am exactly 2 weeks away from my surgery date. It seemed soooo far away when I started planning for it. Thank God everything has gone well. I saw my surgeon today to go over lab results and he asked that I get an ultrasound to make sure I don't have gallbladder stones, he says it is better to get it removed at the same time if there were any stones. I've read this is pretty common. He is also taking care of a hiatal hernia, which is actually how all this began. Bypass was never an option for me (or so I thought) and here I am, posting about surgery coming sooner than expected.... I am soooo happy and excited about the new and healthier me coming soon!
  5. Hi there... I am having surgery with Dr. Aceves, I live in Mexicali which is where he works, so I am glad we have such a wonderful surgeon in town. Before making a decision I read all I could and he is by far one of the best surgeons worldwide. Good luck in your decision making. Hope all goes well wherever you have your surgery done. Take care!
  6. You lost all that weight in 11 weeks?????? OMG, you look AMAZING!!! Congrats and be brave against the carbs, you really look great!!
  7. I just got my UNJURY starter kit (samples), tried the chicken soup, it tastes good, but I am afraid I will not tolerate it when it is all I can eat, LOL... I am still pre-op. Do you know if I can add the unflavored to beef broth ?
  8. I have the BEST pen pal EVER!!!! I got a box FULL of goodies, it has 2 boxes of pita Snacks (cinnamon and original), baby spoons (in ALL colors, loved them), a measuring tape to keep track of the immense amount of inches I will be losing, LOL, dieter's tea which I intend to start drinking immediately, sugar free hershey's chocolate, SF vanilla, and 2 liquid Water enhancers, plus the best thing in the box, a heart warming card which not only made my day, but it makes this journey that I am about to begin SO REAL!!! Thanks again Laura, loved everything in my box and thanks Tasha for putting RNY pen pals together!!! May God fill you all with with many blessings...
  9. Prayer done! best vibes your way!!!
  10. OMG, jealous of your collar bones showing!!! LOL!, many many congrats... I am still pre-op, but what you say is all the surgeon said on my first visit, IT'S A TOOL!!! which makes it harder for all of those expecting "magic". You really look amazing! Keep up the good work!

  16. This is what I like to read!!! I read through good and bad but this kind of stories really encourage the journey that I am about to start.. My surgery is scheduled for March 11 and all I can say is I CAN'T WAIT!!!! I am sure I will have difficult days but I am so looking forward to a new me. I've been on and off diets my whole life, losing as much as 110 lbs on diet and exercise but have never been able to keep it off, so reading success stories reaffirms this is the right way to go! When was your surgery and how much have you lost? MV
  17. How much weight have you lost?
  18. Congrats!!!! Share any tips and recipes if you can, my surgery is scheduled for March 11, can't wait!!!
  19. You look great and so much younger!!!! when was your surgery?
  20. OMG, amazing progress, congratulations!!!!
  21. WOW!!!!!! you look GREAT!!!!!! congrats...
  22. hahahaha, I so relate to your story, my doctor always tells me "calm down, there is enough time to do this and that", and I am ready with paperwork, psych eval, nut eval, etc.. he makes fun of me (in a good way). I also relate to the decision coming out of nowhere, I used to be totally against obesity surgeries as I am good at losing weight when I am seriously on a diet, exercise plan, etc,I've lost up to 110 lbs on diets and exercise but I got sick and tired of gaining it all back, uugghhh... so anyway, I always say, this is God sent, first of all, a change of mind and being 100% convinced this is what I want to do, and having everything ready in no time. My first appt was around Nov 15 thinking I might do this in the summer, but one thing lead to another and here I am ready for March 11 !!!!! so, OMG our stories are sooooo alike!! best wishes in our journey and cheers to the new life ahead of us!!!
  23. My fear exactly... reason why I don't want to overstock!
