  1. Thanks!! congrats on your weight loss too!
  2. ...and 39 lbs down!!! so happy, I've had no pain, no nausea, no vomit. I live in Mexico and had my surgery done in Mexico, I can proudly say we have EXCELLENT surgeons here and I wish all of the stories were like mine (without pain, nausea, etc) and losing weight happily!!
  3. Spinning class is more like the outside thing, but you should wait and ask your surgeon then just to be safe.
  4. Only for beans and lentils, but I've been using it for smoothies (frozen fruit) and it works fine, I imagine it would work fine for tuna, canned chicken, etc.
  5. I will be 6 weeks on monday and my doctor said I could do spinning class, so you should be ok! enjoy your ride...
  6. Unjury has no after taste... I order online.
  7. Congratulations!!!, I had the same starting weight... can't wait to look as awesome as you!!
  8. I asked my doctor yesterday how long it takes for the pouch to empty and he said from 2-3 hrs depending on what you ate, so it is normal to be hungry in less than 4 hours. I typically have CHOBANI yogurts as "snacks" which I also consider one of my 5 meals, you should try them, they are really good and high in protein.
  9. Congratulations!!!! I will be 6 weeks on monday and I am down 35 lbs...
  10. I just had my doctor's appt today, asked the same question and he said grapes are ok, I was worried about the skin also but he said that was not a problem. I am 5 weeks post op, so go ahead and enjoy some grapes!!!
  11. I would set up a timer to sip every 10 minutes, drank all kinds of allowed juice, diluted if too sweet, gatorade and "ate" low sodium fat free beef broth and low fat chicken broth. Are you allowed shakes? I wasn't allowed shakes or soups until my second stage which was 10 days later.
  12. I asked the same question, I was asked to wait 10 days, I guess it depends on your doctor.
  13. I am barely 4 weeks post op but my doctor prescribed Zinc tablets (once a week, crushed) to avoid hair loss. Got them at wal-mart.
  14. Before & AFter by Susan Maria Leach
  15. I felt that way only on my 3rd day after surgery and was still at the hospital, they took me off the pain meds and by thursday I was as good as new. I was soooooo sleepy with the pain meds, I had no interest in drinking anything, even though I had been on 2 days of no drinks or food. Hope you feel better and I agree with Kelly, you don't want to end up in the hospital with dehydration. Take care!
  16. I did not have to do a liquid diet, I was only asked not to eat anything after 10pm the day before surgery. I had light meals the day before anyway cause I thought it would help, I had cereal for breakfast, chicken and vegetable soup for lunch and some tuna for dinner. I will be 4 weeks on monday and had no complications, just feeling great and better every day!
  17. I have the magic bullet and a food processor, I recommend both. I use the magic bullet for shakes and creamy veggies soups and now using the food processor for the puree stage. There is a new one called the nutri-bullet, but so far, the magic bullet works just fine.
  18. When was your surgery?
  19. I am.. I drink a lot of water and drink at least one protein shake a day, sometimes 2, my doctor said one was enough.
  20. I'm gonna be 4 weeks on monday and feel similar... not "starving" but I NEVER felt hungry before (after surgery obviously) today is the first day I've felt hungry. I just checked my log and I did add 100 calories to my intake, which is not bad, I felt like I had eaten more than that. I am on puree stage, I am not loving it, it is hard to find something tasty made "mush". I also started working out on tuesday, 40 min of cardio, so I am sure that has something to do with the increased hunger. I am not stressed, I just want to make sure I log everything to share with my doctor on my next appointment. What stage are you on? Are you working out?
  21. IPAD works for settings if you go to the website, not from the app.
  22. Go to your profile, then to edit settings, first option is profile settings, on the right you will see: general settings and a small box that says change picture. Hope that helps.
  23. How much weight have you lost? I would wait till I hit my goal weight before considering surgery.
  24. Just got mine today, I start my puree diet on tuesday. I was looking for the mini one (cuisinart) but only found a regular sized one (black & decker) at wal-mart. I've heard they come in pretty handy after WLS. Amazon has the mini one in several colors, I was about to order the purple one, but couldn't wait to have mine at home!
  25. Kristy, I am your #1 fan!!! You have no idea of what an inspiration you are to me. I just got surgery done on March 11 but can't wait to have a success story just like yours. I've lost 24 lbs and have at leas 86 to go. Congratulations on your weight loss and thanks for sharing your success with all of us. Blessings to you! Marisela
