    Period & Devo shots

I've been on Depro shots since 1999. No periods for 13 years. I have never had any issues. My Obgyn wants me off to let menopause take its course. Of course I weighed too much to get my tubes tied. Hopefully, I will lose enough to get that done.

    100+ To Loose

I am just starting out. My surgery was 2/19. I gained 7 lbs in the hospital which put me at 337. I know I have lost that but I am trying to stay off the scale! I will weigh again next Tuesday which will be 2 weeks. I am 5'8" and would like to weigh 165. Still 20 lbs heavier than when I got married 30 years ago!
  4. Sorry stupid fat fingers Kat!
  5. Kay, please know we are all with you in spirit and are praying for a speedy recovery.

    1 week after surgery

I am a week out as well. I stopped the pain meds too because of the constipation and nausea. I can handle the pain more than feeling yucky. I mostly sit in my recliner with a heating pad, but get up 10 times a day to do short chores (dishes, laundry, etc.) I made a trip to walmart yesterday for about 30 minutes. I was in so much pain by the time I got back home! My stomach hurt and my back was cramping up. I am getting 80-95 grams of Protein and 64 oz of Water no problem. No problem with pills or anything so far. I am still on liquids for another week. I've started not sleeping at night. I get about 4 hours and then I'm awake for the next 4 then sleep for 2 hours then I'm up for the day. I have always LOVED my sleep. Now I dread going to bed! It's great to compare with others with the same surgery date. Keep up the good work!
  7. To track calories and exercise? I know a lot of you use MFP, but I've got several years data in Lose It! That I don't want to lose.

    3 hour psyc evaluation?

Mine was a questionnaire I had to fill out before then an hour conversation. They are just trying to find out if you have any serious issues that would make the surgery less successful. I wouldn't worry about it. I was totally honest and I didn't have any issues.
  11. My surgery was 2/19 as well. I am in Oklahoma. No issues so far. I forget to take small sips of water, but no real issues with that either. I can get in the water, but working on 85 grams of protein. We are supposed to get a large snow storm today. I keep walking around the house. Good luck!

    How do you answer.....

I would say I am trying to get my BMI within the healthy range for my height. That way you are not revealing any actual numbers. Plus, what a lot of people don't understand is that the reason we are doing this is to get healthy.

    Fabulous February!

I'm having my surgery 2/26 omg so excited!!!!!! Any tips from anyone who had it done alre Before leaving for the hospital, I made up chicken broth and pureed veggie Soup in one cup servings and put them in the freezer. I also made sure I had a good supply of yogurt and enough bariatric shakes for two weeks. Now that I'm home, I don't have to worry about what to eat. I took my own pillow and a big soft fluffy robe (that is my moms). It was comforting to have my stuff too to make me comfortable. I used my robe as a pillow, blanket, and robe! The other thing I couldn't have made it without was chapstick and eyedrops. I was so dry after the surgery, those were very comforting. Be prepared for pain. I know they give pain meds, but they only dull the pain. It is still there. Get up and walk even when you don't feel like it. Does it hurt, yes...Can you do it, yes! I took my i-pad, but the pain meds made my vision blurry so reading was pretty much out. It was good to look at photos and such though. Good luck!

    Just hours away!

I didn't sleep at all last night. Much better today! I just walked the halls. I can have liquids now. Off all the tubes and wires except IV. I'll lose the moraphine soon ????. Almost feeling human!

    A bite of heaven...

Bought sf jello cheesecake pudding today. Yum!
  17. I have not heard many good things about that flavor. I like Bariatric Advantage vanilla with almond milk and a little cinnamon. It is really thick though. Syntrax fuzzy navel is good. You'll have to keep trying until you find one you like. Bariatricpantry.com has sample packs you can order.

    Fabulous February!

Thanks for all the luck for our surgeries tomorrow and beyond! I am anxiously waiting to find out what time tomorrow! My husband told me yesterday he had a whole list of things for me to do for him for the next month " since I will only be sitting around on my stationary bike watching TV"! Hahaha!

    4 days post op

Colleen, I'm having my surgery done in Norman, Ok. It's a couple hours from where I live, but had to go with the doc the insurance recommended. I am on the preop liquid diet until Tuesday. I hope I do as well as you!

    no appetite

Read the posts on November, December, January, and February post-op. It seems a lot of people get hungry within even a couple of weeks. I was surprised. Then some people a months post op and still not hungry. Everyone's different! I think a lot of it may be "head hunger".
  22. Welcome, Kether0896! Every surgeon is different so I'm not sure what the 30 carbs represents. As far as Protein drinks, I have tried Bariatric Advantage vanilla. I use it with cinnamon and almond milk. I have also tried Syntrax chocolate Truffle, Cappicinio, and Fuzzy Navel. They are all really good. I've also used unjury cheese sauce. It was different, but okay on broccoli. The blog "The world according to eggface" also has a lot of recipes. Hope this helps!

    Protein Shakes?

My favorite is pretty simple. Bariatric Advantage Vanilla protien shake with cinnamon in it! I have it every morning!
