    What ya eating tonight?

Hi All, I had skinless, boneless grilled chicken thighs...I switched to thighs because I couldn't tolerate chicken breasts...now the thighs aren't agreeing with me! It's very strange that foods that I had no problem with I now can't tolerate! Has this happened to anyone else?

    Reheated foods

The left overs are probably too dry. The same thing has happened to me with meatloaf.

Shoulda, did you do exercise over the 9 months? What do you think was the biggest help to you? What a successful weight loss story!
  8. When I was in the hospital I asked the same question to a bariatric certified nurse. She said I could take Communion that day( day 3 post op) I would just make sure your mouth is nice and moist.

    March Surgery Dates

Hi, I am having a problem and need some advice, my surgery was March 20th. Ladt Wednesday my diet was advanced to soft Foods i. Today I advanced further to deli meats, canned pears and peaches vegetables etc. I had some deli chicken1.5 slices and some roasted carrots with cauliflower and onion..I think I didn't chew the carrot enough annd have had hiccups and inability to swallow anything...it may have been a small obstruction. It seemed to clear as soon as vomited. It's been about 5 hours since I ate so I tried a little egg salad,,,my stomach is slightly painful and I couldn't eat more then two teaspoons...has anyone else had this? How long did it take to go back to normal?
  10. Quick question. My surgery was March 29th. I was advanced to very soft foods yesterday..I can have anything soft enough that you don't have to chew...this morning I wasn't hungry but this afternoon I'm really hungry. Is anyone else really hungry aas soon as they started food!
  11. Just had my first solid food. Vanilla yogurt..it was sooo delicious!
  12. Hi All,I had my surgery 2 weeks ago today. Had my 2 week follow up today and have lost a total of 25 lbs! I am feeling very well . My only issue is belching. I am not fit company for man or beast! Hope all the other boomers are doing well.
  13. Hi all, I had my surgery on Wednesday and am home today. Only need Tylenol for the soreness..haven't had any nausea..I think I am very lucky. I do have one weird thing happening. It started in the hospital and continues but to a lesser degree and that is shakiness or trembling. Has anyone else had that? I think it's related to the anesthia.
  14. Hi All, having surgery at 9:30 tomorrow morning! More excited then nervous at this point. Wishing my fellow first day of spring surgeries the very best!
