Monday I'm allowed to start full liquids and puréed foods

How many calories are you getting in? I seem to stop losing when I don't get enough.

Day 12 of clear liquids only--I'm beginning to hate Popsicles as much as I hate jello. First post op appt is this afternoon. I plan on begging to be let on full liquids early!

Did you tell your nurses you're nauseous? The dr can give you something for that. I had a patch for nausea all three days I was in the hospital. It was called a scopolamine patch and worked great. I had zero nausea.

How are you feeling, Krystal? Have you had your leak test yet? Are you on a pain pump? Are you drinking and walking? Hope all is well, my friend!

SKNYME, I am so glad you didn't get caught up in that mess. As for the liquid diet, I feel your pain. i've been on clear liquids since last Monday. I'm ready to tear my hair out and the thought of more broth or Popsicles makes me want to cry. I have until next Monday before I can start milky protein shakes and strained soups--oh joy. Doesn't sound very appealing either. I'll be able to add yogurt and ape sauce too. Hang in there--I know this is hard, but we aren't the first people to have to endure this and if they can do it, so can we!

Lol--yeah texting while on narcotics is a challenge! My left side is still the one that's most sore. Glad you got through okay and I hope you start feeling better soon!

It comes in a glass bottle. Make sure you get the zero carb one, and I would try it before you buy a bunch. It does have a weird aftertaste that some people can't tolerate.

Do you feel nausea all the time? You can get a prescription for nausea from your doctor. Have you tried the ready mixed Isopure from GNC? it is clear protein drink more like Koolaid than a milkshake. Maybe they would work better for you. I like the Blue Raspberry best.

Oh man! That would make me crazy! I hate when they don't tell you why they were calling Hang in there--it'll happen one way or the other! BIg Hugs Krystal!!! You can do this! Just remember how much you wanted this surgery and hang in there! Congrats! What a nice surprise!!!

I'm not too sore anymore. Just very mild discomfort when I'm wearing a stupid underwire bra and sitting down it kinda jabs me in the stomach. Really bumpy roads in the car aren't very fun either. My doc never said anything about a binder and I didn't get one.
