I would try a big day of cooking and then freeze individual meals. Like DIY lean cuisines! You will have healthy food that just needs to be microwaved when you're ready.- What to Expect - First Appointment!

Thanks! You too! I felt that way at 4 weeks as well. Still eat only small amounts (often just a few bites)...dinner time seems best but feeling better than last week.- April 2013 Post-Op Group

I'm on day 8 post-op. I'm physically recovering well and am 19 pounds down. Yes, I want to eat but don't feel physical hunger. My problem is that yesterday and today I am in a terrible mood and/or feeling down and depressed. I'm crying unexpectedly for no reason. Any one else experiencing this?- NEW YORKERS:)
- Protein That Taste Good!
When my husband had surgery, he struggled to find one he could tolerate. He finally found Atkins Advantage (ready to drink). This was on the list approved by our doc. Must specifically be the Advantage line. He loved the strawberry...said it tasted like strawberry quick. There are lots of flavors. Its what I'm using now as well....I'm sick of sweet stuff but I'm doing well with it overall. Hope this helps.- April 2013 Post-Op Group
I've been the same today...we had surgery the same day. My mom hung out with me today and said she has always felt day 5 after any surgery is bad. She said this when I had a non-related surgery a couple years ago and when my brother went through multiple surgeries. Seems there is some truth to this. Hang in there.- April 2013 Post-Op Group

Sorry about the TMI....I had RNY this past Monday and got home yesterday. My doc has me on all liquids for first week home. Last night I had my first protein shake (2 ounces as directed). Every time I have a shake, I'm running to the bathroom shortly after. And obviously nothing is solid...not fun. Does anyone else experience like this?- Oikos Greek Yogurt

I have only tried the vanilla and brown sugar cinnamon so far. Both great. Also have chocolate, raspberry, classic caramel, and hazelnut. I plan to add to shakes, yogurt...I'm looking forward to chocolate hazelnut yogurt!- torani
They are great. I emailed them with the same question. They sent me a whole bottle of any flavor I chose! I have found small sugar free bottles for $4 at Walmart...I bought all 5 flavors that they had!- GROSS
Have you considered using vanilla and flavoring it yourself? My plan is to use vanilla and use different sugar free Torani syrups to flavor it. I'm still pre op....hope that works.- back in the hospital
Sorry to hear you're having a hard time. Hang in there!- April Dates
