I don't know WHAT is going on with me lately
I probably have been drinking less than I should be over the last week or so with moving and all, but usually I feel pressure to go and can't. Right now, I don't even feel that.

Losing Weight Causing Me To Rethink Being In My Current Relationship
I'm definitely in the minority here, but I don't see much wrong with how he lives his life. My bf works and plays video games and hates chores. He doesn't have any major 'goals' in life, just to live day to day comfortably and be happy. I'm good with that. I think the bigger issue is that you're not happy. You need to do what you feel is necessary to be happy. If that means leaving and being single, do that. I don't think his comments were right, but he apologized and feels remorse for them. If you are unable to accept the apology and move on from it, that's on you. Like I said, not a popular opinion.

I don't know WHAT is going on with me lately
Sorry for the icky stuff ahead. I moved this past weekend. I don't know if the stress of moving has gotten to me or it's something else. I have only pooped once since last Friday, and barely any at that. I don't really feel like I have to go either. No pressure or bloating. My stomach is a little crampy but that may because I've been taking stool softeners to try and go. Also, I'm on Nuva Ring currently and I started bleeding the other day. Not heavy, but enough for a pad or tampon. I'm not scheduled to remove the ring until Saturday. At this point I don't know what's up. Don't know if I should call the doc or wait and see if my system calms down.

Softeners
OK I've gone 4 days without going. But I don't really feel like I have to either. I have been taking 2 softeners a day for about a week now and it was working good so I'm wondering if I just cleaned myself out and don't have a need to go yet? I'd be worried if I felt I had to go but couldn't...but I don't.

OATMEAL question
Yes. Sometimes more, sometimes less. Depends on the density of the food.

low sugar
Thanks! I've experienced it off and on since I was a kid (though definitely more often since surgery) so I've come to recognize the feeling when my sugar level is getting low. I keep peanut butter crackers in my purse and in my desk drawer at work. I think you're right that it's partly related to a 'carb crash'. I've thankfully never had it drop as low as the previous poster experienced. I wonder, though, why bother going through with the test if there's no treatment for it other than diet...which is how I already maintain it.

low sugar
Do any of you get low sugar or have you been diagnosed with Hypoglycemia? I'm 14 months post-op. My Dr had sent me for a 3-hr glucose test but because of issues at the office it never got done. I'm afraid to go back because of the drink they give you, I'm worried it will make me physically sick. My sugar sometimes drops for no reason. It's not like I haven't eaten, it happens at the most random times. Just wondering if you've dealt with this post-op and how you handled it.

Softeners
For those of you that take stool softener, how often do you take them? Only as needed? Two or three times a week or every day?

bad food days :(
Btw, I have no idea why this got moved to the Band section. I posted it in the GB section.

bad food days :(
I cannot eat Chinese food. I get sick every time. That's one thing I miss. I eat pizza quite often, I just make it healthier. I also miss fish and chips! I think you're right, though. I can't completely restrict everything. To me, that's just setting myself up for failure. The key is to learn how to modify stuff to fit your new lifestyle

Phentermine
I took it for 2 months pre-open to help me lose the required 20 lbs. It did give me some slight mood swings but nothing extreme.

Stopping birth control pill before surgery- tell me your experiences
I had to stop at least a month before. I ended a pill pack a month and a half before surgery and just didn't start the next one.

Does anyone eat pizza?
I eat pizza often. I get the Smart Ones pizzas, or make it home made. I use a whole grain/wheat crust, reduced fat or fat free cheese, and veggies. Since surgery, it's almost become a hobby of mine to take bad-for-you foods and modify them to fit my diet. If I am goin to stick with this for the rest of my life, there has to be modifications and compromise. I won't give up my favorite foods, but I WILL find ways to make them healthy enough to suit me.

bad food days :(
Nooo *gag* lol I had an Apple fritter, and a twix. Other not wonderful things but those were the worst. I'm not usually much of a sweets person either.

bad food days :(
The past few days have been awful food days for me. I've been eating stuff I definitely shouldn't be eating. Granted, most of these things I haven't had once since surgery over a year ago and probably won't have them again for a long time. But still. It's shameful. I had to confess lol

Learned Something New...Now I have a question
I can't drink from a straw or I feel overly bloated. I can feel my stomach fill with air and it's very uncomfortable. I avoid straws now because of it.
-
OATMEAL question
Not at all. I was told at a year out I should be able to eat about 1 1/2 cups of food. I'm 14 month's out and I can easily eat one packet.

post-op UTI
Uti's are common right after surgery because of the catheter. They might call in a prescription beforehand but I don't think you could take pills yet. Call them and see what your options are.

What am I feeling?
Glad you went! Did they give you something to help?

Good Bras? $$$
I wore a sports bra over my regular for months until it got to the point where I just had to get new ones.
-
What am I feeling?
Not sure what else could cause it. I'd say call the doc. Maybe they can let you know what could be causing it.

What am I feeling?
I get that way if I eat and have to poop (lol) or if I drink through a straw. How long have you been feeling it?

Vitamins etc
My nutritionist also told me to take my calcium and iron at least 2 hours apart.

almost dumb question- PUREED foods- HELP ME!
Try sticking with as many foods as you can that are already the consistency you need them. Oatmeal, cream soups, apple sauce, tuna, mashed potatoes, etc. I went with soft foods like these and I was fine. My nutritionist said as long as it's soft nough to be mashed with a fork it's fine. I didnt puree anything. Im with you, the thought of a pureed meal is just icky. Now, if you chop up chicken really fine and mix in a little light mayo, it's not pureed. It's chicken salad
