  1. Had corned beef and cabbage tonight. Figured it would be fine since it was fine on St. Patty's Day. Let me tell you, cabbage coming back at you is the WORST. (Sorry for the TMI)
  2. Quest are the best ones I've had. The Atkins ones are good too.
  3. My nut packet says I should gradually eat more up to 1 1/2 cups at about a year out.
  4. How much are/were you eating at 4 months out? I find I'm now able to eat more than I did before. I can sometimes eat 3/4 to 1 cup, depending how dense it is.
  5. Not the healthiest choice. That would probably be the Venetian apricot chicken, if you like that.
  6. Went to Olive Garden for our anniversary today. It was really hard finding something not too bad for you there! But I ended up with the stuffed chicken Marsala. I'm sore it's really high in fat and calories, but at least it's also high in protein.
  7. It takes a special kind of talent LOL
  8. I lived off of cauliflower mixed with canned chicken, mushrooms, and light sour cream when I was in the soft food stage. Made some for lunch today and it made my tummy unhappy. Weird.
  9. Test them out by putting a weight on them and see how accurate they are. My digital scale seems to be very close to the doctors scale.
  10. Had Mexican tonight. Well, Chili's...so fake Mexican lol. So far Mexican food and Thai food sit fantastically well in my pouch.
  11. I'm ok with caffeine but I really limit how much I have. For the most part I sticks with decaf.
  12. Sounds delish! Thai food actually sits incredibly well in my pouch. Love me some pineapple cashew chicken!
  13. I didn't have a prescribed diet, just had to lost 20 lbs. I was on Phentermine, I had a protein shake each day for breakfast, tomato soup and popcorn for lunch (I don't care what anyone says, it worked) and a regular (healthy) dinner.
  14. Oh this was just a week or two ago, so about 3 months out.
  15. My worst so far was Ben & Jerry's ice cream. I was having a hard day with not feeling 'normal' and we were out on a day trip and came across a B&J shop. I got a small of my favorite flavor, which had been discontinued years ago and they brought it back literally a week after I had surgery. Something I won't do again for quite awhile, but I'm not sorry I did it. I needed to feel normal for just one day, and I did. Made me happy.
  16. Ok so I had a weird food day today. I had protein cereal this morning, that was fine. We went out for lunch and I got soup and salad. Took literally one bite of soup and 2 of salad and I was hurting for over an hour later. Later on i had some almonds and they were ok but my stomach still hurt. Tonight we went to a friends for a cook out and I brought a package of 2 chicken breasts (actually one breast cut into 2 pieces and cut very thin. My friend grilled them for me. I ate almost the entire amount, plus 2 bites of potato salad and a couple slices of cucumber. Granted, i ate this over the course of 45mins or so. But it was suddenly like my pouch was indestructible. It was SO good.
  17. I had surgery 2 days after you and I've been having salads since the last week of April. I just tried popcorn last week and it was a very small amount, but I was fine with it.
  18. I think he just worded it wrong but I'm kinda hoping my insurance will cover it every 3 weeks
  19. My doctor gave me a prescription for the ring which I'm planning on starting tonight. He described how to use it, but on the written directions the pharmacy put on the package it says to insert a new one every 3 weeks, instead of 4. I know that it's perfectly safe to so this with the pills so I'm assuming it is for the ring as well. I googled it and there is info on doing this safely to skip periods. Anyone do this? I wonder if my insurance company will cover a refill every 3 weeks if that's what the prescription says.
  20. I feel the same way every day! We just have to use those thoughts as motivation to prove ourselves wrong!
