  1. Finally got to the store today with the intention of buying some, but they have a lot of saturated fat in them! So I passed
  2. Ok I have to ask....does anyone else get nauseous when you eat and you haven't poop? When I eat sometimes I be really rumbly and nauseous after and eventually I'll get the urge to....go....and about 10-15 minutes after I do, I feel better.
  3. Trying a smoothie from Tropical Smoothie Cafe for lunch today. So far so good!
  4. I'm supposed to be getting 60. Some days I come really close. Some days nowhere near it. Rarely do I go over. It was easy when I first started soft foods, but you can only eat turkey, chicken, or tuna so much before you get sick of it.
  5. Just wondering, what does your surgeon/nutritionist tell you you should be getting, and what are you getting realistically?
  6. Puréed would be anything you could drink (cream soups) or that doesn't have to be chewed. If it has pieces in it that need to be chewed at all, it's not puréed.
  7. Homemade pizza! I used one side of a multi-grain sandwich thin as the crust and put a spoon of sauce and some shredded cheese. Cooked for 2 mins under the broiler. Was delish, and the perfect size!
  8. Maybe, but I've drank other things with straws and haven't noticed the gassy feeling. Maybe it's something with the coffee....or maybe I just need to pay more attention lol
  9. I can do decaf and I'm fine with that. Can't do the fake sugar or no sugar though I find if I use just a little bit of regular sugar it's ok. Also at work I use the coffeemate powdered creamer and that's good but if I get coffee at Starbucks I get it with skim. Been finding lately that iced coffee gives me major gas. Haven't noticed it with hot coffee, wonder why that is.
  10. Anyone have a recipe for a low-fat Alfredo sauce?
  11. I have it now after just a protein shake. And I'm at work. I work in a call center, and I'm pretty darn sure the customers can hear it over the phone :-/
  12. I get excited to take the monthly pics now because that's the only real way I see the changes
  13. Try a different protein drink. The Atkins ones are ok. Also the chocolate Body Fortress powder at Walmart mixed with almond milk is really good. Tastes like yummy chocolate milk. If you're a coffee lover you can also mix it with some decaf coffee and ice and make like a mocha milkshake. That's what I've been doing and it's totally saved me.
  14. Thanks! I honestly haven't seen much of a change in myself until I put the pics next to each other. It's such an amazing feeling to see the difference now
  15. I don't have specifics but soup is always a safe bet, and it's not as expensive as meals and you can't take it home. Or you can order an appetizer as a meal if there's anything decent.
  16. In moderation. I made a little pasta with mostly meat sauce.
  17. Made spaghetti with ground turkey. Took 2 bites and I'm stuffed.
  18. Pads/tampons. Many women get it right after surgery even if its not your normal time.
  19. Started full liquids (puréed) before I left the hospital and was on them for 2 weeks
  20. I did that all the time before surgery. Haven't tried it yet since, only because I don't have any decaf coffee at home lol
