  1. It's perfectly normal for your sense of smell to be all out of whack for a few weeks. It happens to all of us. It'll ease up over time.
  2. How much do you want for them?
  3. Today's lunch is clam chowdah! Nom nom
  4. I was told by my nutritionist it's both a liquid and a meal
  5. I have tomato soup all the time! I get the Campbell's Healthy Request Soup at Hand thingamabobs. I can drink a whole one over the course of 45 minutes to an hour and it's my lunch.
  6. I'm excited!! This is my first time participating. Can't wait to go and pick out some goodies
  7. Not at all! I'm an only child and I grew up perfectly fine Think of all the sibling fighting you're saving yourself lol
  8. I go to planet fitness but right now I only use the treadmill. Too self conscious to try anything else!
  9. You're already doing better than me. I accidentally bought corn tortillas instead of regular ones. My pouch has NOT been happy with me so far.
  10. Boiled the hot dog (it's a chicken dog), lightly browned the tortilla in a pan and put a slice of cheese on top, put the dog on that and rolled it and just browned it a little more for the tortilla to stay closed. Could only eat half, though.
  11. Cheese dog! 13.5 g of protein, and every bit as yummy as it looks!
  12. Have you had your vitamins checked? Some deficiencies can affect your vision.
  13. I'm allowed up to 2 protein snacks a day according to my nutrition packet.
  14. I snack. I'm not ashamed to admit it. But I try to have protein snacks, like cottage cheese, string cheese, nuts, etc. And I definitely limit how much.
  15. It's like most anything else, you can't use it once and have a permanent solution. You have to keep up with it.
  16. But even if you can tolerate the sugar, I'm sure the Taurine or whatever else they put in it for energy would be so bad for you. If I think of it I'll ask the doc on my next appointment, just out of curiosity.
  17. I used to before surgery but gave them up. I just think if they tell you to limit caffeine and alcohol because of how it can effect you, energy drinks must be worse!
  18. I don't want one....ok maybe sometimes I do lol My question, though, is because my BF's friend had RNY and drinks energy drinks all the time. It just made me wonder how bad they are for you post-op and how they might effect you.
  19. My username is pookybear610
  20. Just take it slow. Take a bite, chew like your life depends on it, and wait a few minutes to see how you feel between bites. And honestly, throwing up isn't all that bad. It's a much better experience (for me, anyway) now than it was pre-surgery. There's no bile in your pouch so you don't get the nasty acidly burning. Trust me, I do it all the time
  21. I started 2 weeks after surgery. At first I was weighing myself every day or every couple days, but I don't want to get used to that and become obsessed with the scale, so now I only weigh myself on the weekend.
  22. I was allowed them in stage 5 (8 weeks). First thing I tried!
