Protein drink idea

I would like go share the only way I am able to get my protein in, as after surgery i cant stand the protein drinks. I mix protein mix ( choc or van) and mix with 1/4 cup of water. (I use a small 3oz container with lid). I mix this with my decaf coffee 2x daily. Tastes like a coffee ordered from the shop and does not taste like a protein drink.

Brilliant! What a clever woman you are! Think I will be doing that when I am home and recovering. Had enough of the shakes on the pre-op diet.

So we are allowed decaf coffee? Obviously it must cool down a bit before sipping?

I was drinking piping hot decaf the day of my surgery and I've never had any issues with hot things. My nut says decaf counts as a Fluid, so u get both in.

I'm going through similar issues. Today is 1st day home from hospital. My question to you is how long does your drink stay warm??? I am making a hot cocoa portien drink in the morning but the cup is 8oz. I have divided it to 2 mugs and stuck one in the fridge. The 4 ounces goes cold before I finish it - I can drink 4 oz no problem, but I am scared to do it (drink too many ounces at one sitting)

I drink the whole thing and have since my surgery. I'm 2 months out. I put it in my to-go coffee mug.

I did that all the time before surgery. Haven't tried it yet since, only because I don't have any decaf coffee at home lol
