8 1/2 months out. Down a total of 152 lbs. pretty happy with how far I've come! 38 lbs till my goal!

My company saw that for me RNY was not elective but was a life saving surgery. Serval others in the company had the surgery before me so the company understands what the surgery can do for my Heath and will save the company lost time and earnings.
Ok not every company is this understanding and everyone has to go at their company the best way you can to get what you need in the end.
Makes you kind of wish there was a super star actor that was going though RNY. Only then would people take notice and pay attention because people only care about what's on the Idiot box called TV and who and what the rich and famous are doing. Till then it's our world and we let everyone in

When I had my Nurse Education class, she actually advised its a good idea to NOT tell them it's for RNY. Since its technically an elective surgery they might try to tell you when you can take the time off for it. If you just tell them it's surgery, it's probably better. My boss knows, but that's it. I really don't care if anyone else knows, and I know once I go back to work after surgery some people will ask me what happened. And I'll tell them. But I'm not just going to go up to people and tell them for no reason either. If you ask, I'll tell.

Welcome to the group. I'm missing on a lot here. I have a crazy schedule. I'm hooked on Facebook it's good but I'm needed in here so I better be here. I reach my goal weight a while back. I had WLS 5/30/12 211lbs in 6 months I went down to 125lbs then 115 current weight I'm 9 months post up. I feel wonderful. You will have a great life change. You feel good inside & out.

I had a Tummy Tuck this past February. It was no cup of tea. For a month I pretty much had the movement of an 80 year old woman. However after 8 weeks I was perfect. I loved the results! I went down a few sizes in jeans and I'm not embarrassed about my stomach anymore! I'm looking into doing more cosmetic procedures soon.
