  1. I'm heading to the store to get my ingredients. Excited to try it. Any dos or donts that you've learned while making this? ~Leticia **HW: 259**PreOp: 216**SURG: 3/21/13 **Discharged @: 221** 3 mons post op. CW: 165.0 lbs. --- Only 15 lbs to my goal ---

  3. What I've learned is to focus on vanilla the most. Try and drink it without any bells and whistles added. You'll learn to like it that way. Focus more on throwing a twist on the food you eat. But you do need to find a really good shake you like. I had to stop buying and wasting my money on the Foo-Foo flavors and also invest a little more money into a good tasting brand of shake. When I went cheap the drink tasted cheap. ~Leticia **HW: 259**PreOp: 216**SURG: 3/21/13 **Discharged @: 221** 3 mons post op. CW: 165.0 lbs. --- Only 15 lbs to my goal ---
  4. I think this is a normal feeling.... And it will pass. You definitely need to get in the habit of eating even if its just a bite her or there. Over the next weeks it will become easier.
  5. I say RNY because its been out longer, more researches have been done on it and to be honest when revisions are done they always seem to revise that person to RNY. Might ad well start out the right way.
  6. OMG... Thank you for sharing this. I'm gonna try it tomorrow.
  7. Wow.. looks like a totally different person
  8. Just wondering cause I'm 5'4 and 165. My 11's and 13's are fitting me loose and wondered if is be your size in about 5 lbs. Can you share your anerixic story? Id love to hear it.
  9. I live in Stockton CA... It's between San Francisco, San Jose and Sacramento CA. I'll actually be 40 in November. Yea the BIG 4-0! LMAO
  10. Had my 3 Mon Post Op Check up today and weighed in at 165 lbs. Dr said that I was way ahead of where I should be and if I continue burning calories at this rate I'll end up ay 120 at my 1 year check up. Of course I burst out .... "Oh hell naw, that's too too small". She agreed with me and moved be all the way to the last stage of the game. Added bread, Pasta, grains, tri tip.. pretty much no restrictions just not alcohol, sodas and unhealthy foods. She wants me to take my 1000+ calorie burn all the way down. Absolutely no more cardio... Only body building/sculpting. Focus all on muscle building. She also wants me to increase my calories from 700 to 1200 and try and eat until I feel stuffed. I was like... "Lady you don't have to tell an Ex fat person that twice... Don't mind if I do pig out." LOL Blood test were awesome... Just need to increase me Iron during my monthly cycle since um flowing pretty heavy now. So yes... This was a MAJOR NSV for me. My entire life I've had to watch everything I eat and feel and look fat. Now... I officially feel like a skinny person not having to worry about cardio, low cal diet and my clothes not fitting. Kinda excited about the body building process... Yahoo for me!
  11. It's normal to stall... Most likely you're weight is just stalling but you're still moving down in size. I know this is a number game but the darn scale can really mess with you hunh? Lol I had my surgery on .3/21/13 ... I'm in my 3 month right now. My highest weight was 259. The day of surgery I was 216 and a size 16/18. Today I'm 165 lbs and a size 11. I haven't been this size since my 8th grade year in school. LOL. Even tho I get on the scale at last 6 times a day in not really focusing on losing weight... More toning right now. Personally I don't want to get any smaller. I'm at the point right now where when I see people I haven't seen in a while I'm self conscience when they get all dramatic about how different and good I look. I use to like it but now because its such a big change it makes me uncomfortable... And he funny thing is I love attention. Ok in rambling now. LOL I wish I knew you and lived close cause I'd give you all my new bras. LOL ... The week before surgery I went to lane bryant and bought 3 bras... Well the jokes on me because I can't fit any of them now. I even held on to one and didn't take the tag off of it. Well I took that one back to the store last week to exchange it for my new size. LLLMMMAAAOOO! When the lady sized me she laughed at my new size. LOL. She told me the store didn't run that "small" and she could put me in a padded 36C. LOL. So yeah I took it. LOL
  12. I love the way your Mom thinks. LOL When did you have your surgery? What was your starting weight and size?
  13. Oh Em Gee .... I love this thread! I absolutely feel you on this. I'm 4 months post op and I've went from a 44DD and I just bought a bra on Tuesday and I'm now in a 35B!!! I have NEVER EVER had to worry about my boobs and now I'm like WTH. I actually was rolling up face towels and stuffing 1 in each bra but when I saw how it looked ons picture I immediately stopped. I think my new boobs actually go with my new body. I guess mentally I just have to get with it. LOL
  14. Sounds like you may be dumping every time you eat. Maybe? I don't think its good tho... We already have a shortened time that our food stays in our system and it minimizes what we take in. I wonder if this is even worse for you? Are you dropping wright really fast?
  15. Funny you said this.... My back hurts when I sleep on my tummy now since my tummy isn't big. I seem to arch in and after an hour it hurts.
  16. With laparscopic ... After the laser cuts the area inside its sealed with mini staples creating a seamless seal. Then after the wounds are removed and the surgery is over most surgeons use staples to close the 3 to 5 openings in your tummy that were made.
  17. RRRMMAAOO! Yep! I remember this. I use to love sleeping on my stomach and then after surgery I spent so much time sleeping off my tummy I don't sleep that way anymore. Hang in there!
  18. WOooow.. you look like a whole other person. Diva status!
