  1. You guys look great! So inspirational
  2. Everyday gets easier. Congrats on making it through with flying colors!
  3. Yay! I was wondering how you were doing.
  4. You are so young and have the rest of your life before you. I am 42 and have been overweight my whole life. I wish I would have had the opportunity to have this surgery earlier in life. The liquid diet is needed to ensure your surgery goes as smoothly as possible. Think about ALL the reasons you want/need this surgery and take it day by day. Can you get out and walk? That takes my mind off of things. You can do this!
  5. I am looking forward to that goal too!
  6. Good Luck! Keep us updated if you can!
  7. Good luck! You will do great.
  8. Congrats! So happy for you
  9. Hi Dotted - That happened to me too! I thought it was weird that my chest hurt but things were going down ok. It finally passed and came out (I think it was air or gas)
  10. Vicki - You are so inspirational and supportive to all of us on this board. It sucks right now but it is better to make sure everything is ok before having major surgery. Someone said it earlier - "Everything happens for a reason." That is so true. You can make it through this! We will all be here when you have your surgery - no matter how long you wait. Keep your chin up. We are all in this together.
  11. I am having a hard time finding a chewable vitamin with iron. What brand do you take? Where have you been able to buy them?
  12. Such an inspiring story. Thanks for sharing. Good luck!
  13. I think you should call your doctor right away...don't wait until Thursday. Good Luck!
  14. Welcome! I just joined this group a few days ago. I have already learned so much!
  15. Hey truth Congrats on your surgery! I had lots of gas too. The nurse told me to take Milk of Magnesia or Gas x. Of course walking helps the most. Good luck!
  16. Don could I please have the list of protein foods? Kimkampling@gmail.com Thank you!!
  17. My Psychologist said something to me that has gotten me through a few rough times. He said, "when times are tough and you don't know why you would put yourself through this emotional and physical roller coaster, remember ALL the reasons you did this surgery in the first place."
  18. Good luck to everyone - remember today is the beginning of your new, skinny, healthy life! I will be thinking of all of you today
  19. Yay for November people! It seems like most of you are on protein shakes. I am 5 days post op and just sf jello, sf drinks, broth and sf popsicles. Feeling okay but definitely experiencing the head hunger. Thanksgiving was hard!
