  1. Hi everyone, been ages, couldn't get access and then had more surgery in January for twisted bowel. Having surgery in June/July for removal of excess skin and loose fat on my belly. How has everyone been? From the start of my journey I've lost seventy five kilos in total. I've gone up and I've gone down, and now I'm stable most of the time. I'm eating up to a cup of salad or veggies with every meal, and still small amounts of protein. I've missed everyone and I so hope to catch up with you all once again.
  2. Grilled chicken with a salad and the dressing I made with sour light cream And garlic aioli with herb and garlic seasoning. Flavoursome!!!!
  3. When you stop and think about it, eggs are used to bind up recipes. Maybe with the smaller pouches we have for stomachs now, that's why we seem to react to eggs the way we do. Having said that, I can eat small amounts of egg when I put it in a fried rice. Anyone who has difficulties with egg, try this idea and see if it helps.
  4. I've just guessed my old password right to be able to get back on. Did anyone get notice the site was changing? Got a bit frantic to think id lost everyone!
  5. I sure wish there was universal sizing.... I have clothes from a fourteen to a twenty, all fit well! All around the same size too, just different brands... Very frustrating when trying to purchase online.....
  6. I've got my anniversary on the eighteenth December. I have lost thirty kilograms. I'm more than happy with the surgery though I had vice strictures at first and that had me petrified for some time. I'm eating more than before, but trying to use salads and fruit salads as my main good intake now. I have fifteen kilos to go ns I'm giving myself all of next year to do that.
  7. Find if the hamburger is straight off the grill in fine but reheats return every time. Only way to eat me then is cold and crumbled through a salad
  8. Chicken souvlaki and Greek salad
  9. Avocado, egg, lettuce, cucumber and tomato with lo far dressing on the side..... Soo into salads right now
  10. Ah! That's what snow crabs look like. No wonder everyone loves them so, we have something similar here in Australia, sand crabs, but the legs are minuscule, those crabs look awesome!!
  11. Pardon my ignorance, what are snow crabs?
  12. Hubby bought me a bangle years ago, the largest size you could buy was super tight to get on over my hand. Washing my hands last night at dinner, flicked them and the bangle shot off! Didn't realize how much my hands and wrists have gone down in size......
  13. Terry that's awful, pray he recovers well after surgery. Very difficult being away when our children are injured. Doesn't the forces have access for family during these times?
  14. Oh my god! Anything that is not nailed down would be fine right now...... So stupid but I'm starving!!!!!! Have eaten far more than I've eaten in a very long time and still I'm wanting to stuff myself stupid........have to recognize emotional triggers sooner cause I'm sure my pouch is stretched the size of a normal stomach.....
  15. Cold chicken breast sliced with lettuce, egg, shaved Parmesan cheese, red onion and yellow capsicum with fat free Caesar dressing on the side...... Decadent!
  16. Sure. Can be cooked tons of ways, but for low fat and calorie, cook some onions and pumpkin, roast em first gives them a great flavour, add some veggie stock or chicken stock, to your liking, add a bit of nutmeg, just a smudge,, cook till soft and purée all together. You can add a can of light evaporated milk for creaminess, without the fat, and even coconut flavoured evaporated milk for extra flavour. You could add some curry powder if you like, but it's not necessary. When it's puréed down it is thick and creamy, if you don't want to add the evaporated milk, just add protein powder. Tweak it to your own recipe.
  17. Pumpkin soup. Herb bread on the side.... Ok, so I won't get much bread down, all good
  18. Blueberries, strawberry, banana, apple and peach fruit salad with vanilla bean yoghurt for protein.... Yum, super fresh fruit salad.....
  19. Egg, chicken, avocado and lettuce salad with a little 97% fat free mayo added. Yum.
  20. Picking up a favourite handbag from my wardrobe and slipping my arm through and it not being tight anymore.... Super amazing!!!! That's the reason it was in the wardrobe in the first place......
  21. I get enough fluids, but tend to eat more salad than protein, or a veggie Soup. "Brain fog" was the only way I could think of describing it, like thinking through cotton wool? As though it takes forever to think something through that normally happens easily? Not as sharp as usual? I drink umpteen teas and Water each day.
  22. Wondering if brain "fog" is from too little protein intake??? What's the max protein you are all on by now?
  23. Simply southern, I've often asked after you, you are such a strong and supportive person, I'm so sorry that you've had a hard time of it, so glad you are back up and running again. I pray you continue to recover.
  24. Get a ten ml syringe, draw up 2.5mls of white vinegar, draw rest up in water, insert and gently press in. It automatically changes PH and acid balance and restores to normal. A doctor tons me this years ago, and it works a treat! Of course, take the needle off.......
  25. Weather getting warm here, made fresh fruit salad with peach, strawberry, apple, banana, mandarin and topped it with lo fat vanilla bean yoghurt for protein..... Half cup fruit salad and the dollop of yoghurt and I'm in heaven....
