  1. Love OhYeah shakes! All flavors are good. 32 grams of protein per shake.
  2. Has anyone had success using a compression belt to help reduce stomach flab? I understand this can be worn during the day and at night. Thoughts??
  3. No...thank God! I did five days after...hang in there
  4. Hi Mandy. I'm new to this as I had surgery last Monday, but I'm on soft foods too. My advice to you is this...don't kick yourself to the ground. What's done is done. Get back on track. No need to keep feeling guilty. You CAN do this!
  5. Awesome! Keep it up. I just had surgery last Monday and it seems as if it might be a slow losing process for me as I haven't lost any weight since surgery. But, I remain hopeful and very thankful that I have no nasuea, throwing up, weakness, etc. I'm able to eat my foods listed in my guide and consume my Water. I'm off my bp medicine as well....left the hospital with instructions to come off. Thank you for sharing. Very inspired.
  6. I am experiencing this now. I had surgery on Jan 7. Since then I'm not tired. Force myself to go to bed but wake up at 3 or 4 am....
  7. Everything will go great today! Just try to relax and breath
  8. I'm excited! Need to remind myself to be patient with each day as I didn't put my weight on overnight. Ready for a new me Dos 1/7/2013
  9. That's encouragement that all is OK. After reading several posts of negative things, not being able to eat, drink, throwing up, etc I'm feeling more positive about ME. I'm following my guidelines to a T and not doing anything different. Hope you both have a great Sunday. Looking forward to my follow up visit tomorrow.
  10. Bariatric Fusion. I take four a day. Chewables. Different flavors. Wild Cherry is my preference. This is what was recommended by my surgeons office. Has everything I need in it.
  11. Try the Lean Drink from GNC. You may like better than Muscle Milk Light. I drank the already made shakes, but comes in powder form. If you don't like it GNC takes back and will refund 100%.
  12. You will be fine. This was my first surgery ever in life and it really wasn't that bad. Don't worry yourself so much...just remind yourself you will be ok and that this change is exciting. Good luck
  13. Thanks...I'm on day 7 foods post op so that's why I was curious. It seems to have been ok.
  14. Is banana mushed up ok? List says unsweetend fruits pureed, so I'm wondering if a small banana would be ok. Thanks.
  15. People say Wendys chili is a good option....can't wait until I can have some.
  16. How many weeks post op are you? My Dr recommended no caffeine, coffee for at least three months and limited at that. Hope u feel better soon.
  17. I am 4 days post op....can't wait to be staple free and sore free! Lol. You are on your way to a new you
  18. I'm at four days post op...glad everything went well! I took two weeks...Monday will mark one week since surgery. Still on pain meds. They knock me out, but no prob getting in protein and drinks.
  19. You have some discomfort and pain mainly where the main area of the stomach is operated on...you will feel bloated and gassy. You look forward to farting lol....just to get it all out. Takes pressure off your stomach and helps not being so bloated. I haven't had any problems with drinking or eating...I'm on yogurt, cream Soups, hot Cereal, etc. You will do just fine. I thought the two week liquid diet was worse than surgery!
  20. Makes gurgling noises but no aching or pains. Notice it after I drink or eat. I just slow down or stop. Think its my body telling me something...don't want to over due it but I'm also only 4 days post op
  21. My insurance didn't require it but the approving personnel indicated that its a national mandate through the national association....(? Can't remember exact name) and this stalled my surgery. I also had my surgery through a center of excellence..good luck! The wait was still rewarding.
  22. It's normal to feel anxiety prior to surgery. I was the same way! But I can tell you that it wasn't that bad. I was up walking the halls four hours after surgery...they had to yell me to slow down I'm day four post op and each day gets better. Hang in there and just focus on the new wonderful you
  23. I'm 4 days post op...we are in the same boat currently with being on the mend. Congrats!
  24. New to this site. Excited that I have completed surgery part and on the mend. Pain lessens with every passing day, but still on pain meds and some discomfort. I have no problems getting liquids and protein in. Are other people experiencing the same? I'm trying not to over drink, eat, etc....can't feel my "soft spot" yet.
