Low and behold it was the medication they gave me for a cold.... Now I'm back to forcing food down.....funny tho g is. I have taken this stuff before bit not this reaction.... Looks like me and meds are going to be an issue....

So... I'm in college. I took one class this semester and it was HEALTH... Wtf was I thinkin... So I told the Prof/Dr I was going to be out for surgery and she was cool..... So I get back in class and she shows us a film called Forks over knives which pretty much is a documentary on how meat and dairy will kill you and how we can get all the protein we need from veggies. They of course had people doing this plant based diet and the all pretty much look like what we went under the knife for...diabetes... High blood pressure whipped out.... By the end of the movie I felt like a total ass.... So I ask her at that point about the protein I'm drinking and she says why are you drinking that. And I tell her about my bypass... And her face just dropped.... She then said for me to ask my dr about switching to a plant based diet.. But I'm telling you the look she gave me was as is I told her I had stage 4 cancer.......... I know it's too late now but I wish I had seen that flick beforehand..... I hope I haven't done something that will eventually kill me... I was trying to prolong my life.... I'm very afraid....

Yea... Today my fiancé told me that he can see the changes In me..... Unfortunately I have been abused verbally all my life about my weight... So I won't see results the way others see them... Thank you so much for the advice. Hug

I'm 4 weeks out and for the last few days I have been feeling like I'm starving. I get in my shakes and fluids but I'm feeling guilty after I eat. Any advice.

I 4 weeks on and off all my meds and my numbers are great.... This surgery is a deal changer... You guys will be just fine. Day goodby to the pills.... ;0)

I feel the same way and I'm I have lost 30 lbs since my surgery. I took a picture with my dog on my birthday and I wanted to cry. Sometimes I wish I could just disappear...... My depression is very bad... I'm scared......

Wow..... Talk about a mouth full.... And I thought I would a least get to enjoy that.... Now this..... Somebody just shoot me..... Great post..... Sigh

Start weight 11/19/12---223...... Current weight .......11/26/12....203 I looked at myself in a pic on say and I think for the first time I'm aware of my depression about my size.... I looked so fat..... Truth is I been in denial so long it's setting in now... I hope I can get under two hundred soon....

I'm not a. Mom but I do have PTSD and major depression....I had my surg 10/19/12. I can tell you that your illness won't go away but the surgery gives you hope. I'm off my blood press meds and diabetes meds... That in itself has put a smile on a hopeless situation. I stay in treatment. And take it one moment at a time. No regrets.

Imani. NJ. Op date the 19th of November... Op went well.... Got a nasty sinus infection though. Was home 3 days later... In a lot of pain... Then Sandy hit and I had no lights for a week. I can't begin to tell you what that was like being sick and all. I'm almost at four weeks and 21 pounds down. I'm hopeful.

Yes... I'm playing musical couch... Lol... The swelling is going down slowly though. Talk to you Dr about it.

Hi My op date was October 19th 2012 ...@227... I have lost 20 pounds the third week in. Next weigh in about four weeks. Still a lil tired.
