  1. OMG. I thought I was the only one. I had lost 47 lbs. and then I gained 20. I was so depressed that I didn't go for another fill. I had had 3 previous ones. Finally, I went 5 days ago and have since lost 6.5 pounds. I am finally at the right place with this whole thing. Like Nike says, "Just do it", and be very aware of your body. I couldn't understand why I was still eating regular portions and was always hungry. If that happens to you, see your doctor!
  2. Are there arny places where banded people get together?
  3. I chose the lap band because it was less invasive and the weight loss would be gradual. I am trying to avoid a lot of loose skin in the long run, but I've been told that I may still need a tuck. Still, I've lost 24 pounds in 6 weeks, which is okay by me. Good luck in your decision-making.
  4. Hang in there! I was sore beyond belief! The first week was the hardest for me: soreness, incision pain, a sore throat leading to no voice at all, and just plain frustrated by my enormous abdomen. After that, I was much better. It's been six weeks and I am exercising 6 days a week -- with a weight loss of 24 pounds. You'll be fine.
  5. Thanks, everyone. I'm starting to think that it is normal for weight to fluctuate before 1st fill. Mine is scheduled for Aug. 8th. I had lost 15 lbs. also (at week 3).
  6. New here, also. It's been five weeks. My first fill is coming up. Truthfully, I'm nervous about my weigh-in because my weight seems to fluctuate. I guess that's normal? Should I get rid of the scale?
