  2. Another school shooting in CT..elementary ..ages 5 to 9...they say at least 30 are dead
  3. I don't have much energy yet and I'm about 3 1/2 Weeks out....i think for me now I'm just being lazy! You're still healing so don't be too hard on yourself..do what you can do
  4. God bless the children who were lost today and the those who tried to protect them
  5. I still have not tried tofu..i think I'm afraid haha!
  6. That's super! I was told I needed to quit or they wouldn't do surgery...but when it came down to it, no one even questioned if I had quit..but I'm thrilled I have quit and I I'm past wanting one! It was easier than I thought it would be but I give all the credit to chantix..but I'm concerned because now I have started dumping every time I take it and I'm not going to take it anymore...i hope the craving doesn't come back
  7. 40 in just two Weeks? Wow....well I hope you are feeling better soon...hard to enjoy the weight loss when you're not feeling well
  8. 40 in just two Weeks? Wow....well I hope you are feeling better soon...hard to enjoy the weight loss when you're not feeling well
  9. Wow that's great!..I'm only down 19 in 3wks
  10. Ok,i have yet to come across a thread about cigarette smoking! was I the only smoker before surgery? I smoked for 33 years and quit 1 month before surgery. So far I'm doing great and feel I've kicked the habit but it's only been 2 months. I'm wondering if anyone else has quit for the surgery and then started again?
  11. I'm finding myself using the cold and snow as my excuse...i used to walk everyday for 6 years...i didn't really lose then but I kept the weight off, plus my dog always needing walking. Well my dog still needs walking lol and I need it now more than ever but I haven't started yet. I'm actually still pretty sore but I'm sure that would improve the more I exercise. I did make the mistake of shoveling snow the other day..hope it's just more tender from the exercise and not from any damage...
  12. Have you had any blood work done recently? Sometimes a low potassium level for me is the reason..talk it over with your dr
  13. Trust me, you will find much better friends out there..the kind that accept you. I do feel a bad for your friend only in the sense that she is so bitter within herself that she can't accept people for who they are...it's really not a reflection on you so try not to take it to heart..i have a feeling she treats everyone in the same manner...surround yourself with other positive people for now and who knows, you just might be the example that will wake her up
  14. Yay I finally hit 19...still very sore but im sure it want a good idea to go out and shovel the sidewalks on Monday....well someone had to do it
  15. I don't know..I'm having the same problem...for me it just seems to be from chantix(quit smoking pill) ...maybe it has sugar in it..i know I'm supposed to drink 8oz of water with it but that's impossible....maybe try taking your meds at different times if you have more than one...
  16. Seems she wants to keep you where she is....i applaud you for moving forward for you! If she was a good friend she would be supportive in whatever choice you make..just my opinion
  17. Sounds to me as if she might be jelous, but I don't want to put that in your head..she's your friend and you know her so I'm not here to judge...I'm sorry she's not very supportive for you, but there are lots of great people here to offer support and advice and to cheer you on!
  18. Not that I want to doubt you, but is she a very reliable friend? It almost sounds like a story!
  19. Seriously? The surgeon would have had to be paying quite a few people under the table...
  20. Do you have some good support as you're going thru all this? Gosh my heart just goes out to you...
  21. Some days I can take the chantix and some days not...i hate to stop since I have 2 months smoke free..I smoked for 33 yrs and don't want to fall back in that habit! Vicodin I'm cutting into fourths but I take 3 at a time so I'm trying to really get 12 pills down..the liquid loritab gags me...I've been able to quit my blood pressure pills and the prilosec
