  1. do you workout like an hour or about how long are your workouts.

I do each about 20 minutes now on each machine so about an hour...I have added a couple machines that target my love handles and stomach but only do them about 15 times in sets of 3 ...I never liked working out and don't love it now but I feel so much better after I exercise. I am trying to tone but still have a lot of loose skin.

  3. Wow - very impressive. It is amazing to be that different in 1 year! Inspiring to me 6 weeks out. I can see to the other side! I was a 26/28 - now I am a 24 on the verge of a 22. Never in my adult life have I been smaller than a 16 - so the idea of getting out of plus sizes just seems like a dream to me. You make it look possible!

Thank you! It is possible and so worth it. I look in the mirror and don't recognize myself. I've never wore anything under a 13/14 and I still have a hard time shopping ...looking at 7/8 and s/m shirts is so foreign that I catch myself saying... You can't wear that all the time! The day I walked in Cato and the girl told me I needed to go to the other side to shop was a big day for me. Not shopping on the plus size was so rewarding!! People don't recognize me and it feels amazing! At 6 weeks it seems like a long journey but r'ber it is worth the wait! This sight has helped me tremendously and I am cheering for you!! You will do it and can't wait to see your 1 yr pics!! :)

  5. Called' date=' They no longer accept medicaid as the primary form of insurance. <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' />[/quote']

Try Miles and Schmitz in B'ham at St. Vincent's East! 1 yr post op and recommend them to anyone! Center of Excellence and r'ber they took Medicaid. Good Luck!

  6. So many... I use a normal towel after I shower instead of a beach towel. I use a normal public bathroom stall instead of the handicap stall. I cross my legs all the time. I don't sweat as much. I am never out of breath. I can run up the stairs at my house instead of hanging on the banister all the way up. I'm in single digit clothing. I don't dread being in a picture... In fact I'm front and center now. So many more.... I smile all the time now!!!

This describes me perfectly!! Feels great!! :)

  7. Wow u look amazing! I'm 2 1/2 months post op and don't see a difference even though I'm down 49lbs <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' /> I think its cuz my starting weight was so high so even after that much weight loss I'm still over 300lbs <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' />

I feel like I'm never gonna be "small" did u feel that way in yhe beginning or has it always just come off for you?

    HW 363lbs SD 4/16/13 CW 317lbs

    HW 317...today 162

I stalled multiple times and it has never come off :)

I have to remind myself with pictures constantly of the lose so far to help motivate me to see it is coming off! I really had to grieve my "best friend" (food) for months. I don't know if anyone else did but this was something I still struggle with! I have always been overweight and this has been life changing in all the right ways :) your still emotional from surgery and learning what you can/can't have...all normal! I assure you it will come off! Just follow your diet and exercise and it will come off!!
