  3. Hang in there hon. I didn't say before but I have waited 3 years due to insurance crap. I made it through and you will too.
  4. Yes I have the weird choking feeling sometimes but I am not sure if that is my hernia or the swelling from the band or both. It basically feels like my throat is swollen shut at the bottom...that us the only way I can describe it. Here is what I found on symptoms: http://www.m.webmd.com/heartburn-gerd/understanding-hiatal-hernia-symptoms
  5. Beach lover good luck and may you have a speedy recovery ! Also good luck to anyone else slotted for today!
  6. Mine was diagnosed yesterday at my EGD. The doctor that did my EGD said that it should resolve on its own after they remove my band...
  7. First I would like to say that I am sorry to hear of your delays. Second I stress that I am not a doctor but there was an option that worked for me that may cut your wait time down. I had an iron infusion one month ago. (It is not for everyone it is not the same as a blood transfusion) It will also depend on how low your iron really is. Maybe you could talk to your Pcp about seeing a hematologist. Do you know your hemoglobin # ? Mine was fluctuating between a 7.5 and 8 and the monthlies certainly don't help the iron levels. Just more info for you to chew on.
  8. I had my endoscopy yesterday and my surgery is on 06/25 .... The nail biting has endued...lol

  12. Oh my gosh I had the same thing. They put me out today for the EGD and when I woke up they said I need to be cleared by the Cardiologist. Scary! Let us know how it turns out. I don't have my Cardiologist appt yet.
  13. That is great! Hope things are smooth today for everyone else!
  14. Sure. Click on quote underneath the persons post that you want to show n yours. Good luck. I don't personally deal with these issues but my Mom has all of her life and therefore I have seen the cycle you speak of. Going off the med's usually leads down a dark road for someone with depression. Please try another psychiatrist and soon.

  21. Hi! I liked this article: http://www.webmd.com/diet/weight-loss-surgery/12-questions-to-ask-your-doctor-about-weight-loss-surgery This is your opportunity to interview your surgeon. The best advice I can give is to make sure you love your surgeon. They will have their life in your hands. Good luck
