  1. So glad you are doing well! I can't wait for next Tuesday
  2. Great! I think the preop will help a lot. Are you on liquids only? My BP has been perfect since I started my preop. It is amazing what taking away caffeine and salt can do. Good luck! My surgery is one day after yours.
  3. Good luck to you both! I'm the 25 th also but in the states. I am thinking of going to Mexico for my plastics if needed after weightloss....insurance won't usually pay.
  4. Oh my gosh. I am about to go take a nap bc I almost fell asleep driving home and feel like I'm going to die if I don't sleep now! I am on my monthly and I always have a rough time but this time I am really in hell. Did anyone have to go through this?
  5. I am sorry to hear that and I agree it is motivating when someone is ill because they are overweight. My father in law lost his vision to Diabetes. He can no longer drive and he is in his 50's
  6. The psych usually wouldn't make that choice if you need to try more. Answer the questions honestly. They will want to know your reasons for getting the surgery are sound. Mine asked me to describe the surgery I was getting in detail including how long I will be on liquids after surgery and what the most I will Ever be able to eat is. Luckily I had done all my research
  7. Not a dumb question ...but you will be in your birthday suit with a gown they will take off during surgery. I had the lap band surgery before and I got a bra that hooked in the front so it didn't hurt that bad to put on. But definitely not an underwire lol
  8. Congratulations!
  9. I was dieting so I didn't really do that but I am on my preop for a week more (1 week down) and I want the food everyone else is eating.... Oh we'll... I am trying to lose what my surgeon wanted to if I had eaten some f the food I might have set myself back. *sighs*
  10. I am the 25th too and a revision. The last week has been a roller coaster of emotions. Tomorrow I should find out for good if I am cleared for surgery so I haven't really prepared anything yet. I don't want to buy the post surgery foods/meal replacements until I know. Plus I need an unwired bra for the hospital. It makes it so much more comfortable after surgery. Does everyone have all of their stuff ready?
  11. Oh my gosh I went to work and struggled hard to stay awake. I did have someone drop me off at work then take me home, but to tell you the truth I was pretty much regretting going to work. I would have been fine at home watching a move or something lol
  12. Prayers going out for u! Hopefully the insurance will be speedy with an approval
  13. How awesome is that!? Hopefully the has wont be too bad but I too remember the horrible gas with the lap band and hiccups OMG those hurt...
  14. Awesome! I am glad you ate approved.... 10 days... eek!
  15. Slim fast also has High Protein shakes that only have 3 g of sugar. This are the ones I am using. The others I bought one time by accident and they make you hungrier lol
  16. Good luck to all those getting ready to be sleeved today!
  17. I second that! I even went to Home Depot with my hubby this evening to pass the time...lol
  18. Oh my gosh you sound like me exactly! I had an Iron infusion a little over a month ago and last week they found that I have an irregular heartbeat so I am not cleared yet. I have an echo on Monday. They also found on my EGD that I have a hiatal hernia. I am thankfully down quite a few from my high and hope the preop takes more away! Good luck and I will have you in my prayers!
  19. Ok... I live in Texas so I am looking forward to being out in the 100 degree heat without having a heat stroke....I have way too much insulation lol I used to be fine in the heat when I was younger...that means biking hiking swimming and taking my nephew to the zoo! I can't do that now for several reasons... I didn't make a list of ten bc I think I have a thousand things I am looking forward to
  20. I can't eat fruit but I can eat 5 oz of lean protein at night with my veggies. I am on day three and it gets better. Not great but better...hang in there
  21. Welcome I am the 25th too! Don't know what time yet though. Docs office calls the week before to let you know. I am anxious happy scared excited and tired all at the same time!
  22. I hope you feel better soon. Hang in there.
