  2. Thank you for all the good wishes. The opwration went find and the sureogn had to remove also my gall blabber as he enough stones in there to build a giuse! Its now midnight and coming back to the real world i belive was a complete zombi yntil now. The staff let me sit for a few hours but ni qalkin. Instead i have strange sock things which are attached to a punp qhuch inflates and deflates - likw a masage to stop any clota forming in the lega. It very relaxing Ok off to sleep - please forgive any typo's
  3. Go in for my op!!! Sitting in the waiting room , waiting to be called in for prep. Im strangly calm - hope thats a good thing- I came alone - a decision that i am very happy with- i just couldn't handle the stress of my husband. He would be sitting next to me on this phone all the time. But instead his having to deal with the kids in the morning ( a first) and im here reading a book in silence. Pity i cant have a coffee to go with it! I am just ready. Not too nervous not too scared, just ready.
  4. I hope things are going down a bit better . How runny ade the food that you are trying.? Im just interested for hints .. Im due for the op. on wednesday ... Hope u feel better soon..
  5. I find that if i drink Water it keeps the hunger at bay ... I start my morning with about a liter and a half ( just under 50 oz i think) i sit down with a jug and make myself drink it. Not only it makes me feel full , also i find myself thirstier than if i dont drink , so i end up drinking alot more water. Water will help u loose too... And i end up doing alot of sport too !!! -- running to pee ever 5 minutes!! :-) . But dont drink alot of water the day of your weigh in as it will make you gain. Good luck fingers crossed
  6. Cogratulations!! You look great and that top is so cute.!!
  7. Its not just other people who treat us different. WE do too! ( sadly im speaking from past experience .. That weight that i lost came back to visit bringing some of its friends along too:-(....) When we have lost weight we treat ourselves better. Take more care- usuallly- of our appearance. We are happier and show it and therefore other people notice it. We smile more therefore more people smile back. In short the confidence that we gain after weight loss shows ! We feel more attractive therefore we are...... I have my op on wednesday ... And can't wait for that feeling.... At the moment i feel as confident as a bull in a china shop
  8. Thanks. Are you looking forward to geting that horrible band out of you too? No thati have no fill, its ok but with even 1 cc the problems begin. I cant wait. Where are you getting yours done? How long will u be in hosiptal for?
  9. Im excited and some strange way looking forward to having a few days alone with the new me ... After 2 months of kids at home a trip to a hospital is look upon like going to the spa!!! Lol. I probably will be nervous on the day....
  10. It begins... On sunday i have to go to meet the anethisist ( if thats spellt right) which is 3.5 hours each way . Along way to go for a 10 minute meeting! Then on wednesday morning i have my op - hopefully revision to bypass ( if its possible in one op) . Today the told me what i have to pay (. Here in israel we have national health which is great and i opted to pay for their "platimun" service. ) so for the operation with my choice of surgeon, private top rated hospital, all final tests, 4 night and even a sea view ...$370!!! Pity i wont be sampling their cusine! Lol
  11. Mine wants that i will be on a low carb for two weeks - which im doing now and im also including protien shakes to get into to the feel of things to come!!
  12. That i can go for the operation alone? Ie with out my husband? There are a few reasons that i want to go alone - one is that I live over 4 hours from the hospital, and would have to leave my home in the middle of the night to get to the hospital for 7am. And with 3 young kids at home - and no family to help i dont know that would happen. Another reason is that my husband would be useless ! Lol. He would either be to stressed out to help - about the op or too stressed out about his crops ( hes a framer and its the planting season now which is very important) having him sitting around( and probably on his phone all of the time) would make me feel more stresses out . He wants to come but i would prefer he came one the second day ... Am i crazy? The hosital is a private hosptal (but paid for by the" platinum" national health care option here in israel) with a very high ratio of nurse's to patients. Has anyone else done it alone too? My surgeon said it would perfectly ok to do it without some to help... What do you all think?
  13. Just got my operatiom date confirmed! Ypeeeee . It will be on the 5th of september. I had my lapand way back in - 2004 and hated every day of it. I never lost much, suffered from relux and vomitting and even finding it hard to breath. i hope that life will be alot better afterwards.
