  1. I agree!!! I just did my first week in the pre nursing program!! I am excited and hate that I can't go more or have more classes so that I can hurry up the process lol. But I guess my 6 classes will have to be enough for now.
  2. Morphine and zofran didn't work on me either. Till finally they gave me dilaudid and phenegren. The pain went away and I was a happy camper. The last time I went in for gallbladder surgery I had the same nurse that I had with gastric and she remembered me and when she saw the surgeon ordered zofran and morphine she called and he changed it.
  3. Add unflavored protein powder or unjury chicken Soup powder to them
  4. Check with doc before taking gummies something about we can't absorb them. I am sure someone will ring in and say exactly why we aren't suppose to have them. My surgeon doesn't even start you on calcium till your 3 months post op
  5. If your pouch is dry it can cause nausea. If you don't drink this early out you will get dehydrated. I know it happened to me. You have to do your best and fight through the nausea. Maybe your surgeon can give you a prescription of zofran
  6. I stopped counting ounces. I know I wont reach 64 I just drink when I'm thirsty
  7. I am almost 3 months post op and today finally after being in a stall for the past 4 weeks I broke it and was down 2 pounds today. What I do different? I ate like crazy yesterday!!! I was hungry all day!!
  8. I do recommend the ecigs. That is what helped me quit. Its been 6 months now
  9. Clear liquids are beef or chicken or vegetable broth. Decaf tea or coffee black or with splenda. Water and you can add SF koolaide or crystal light etc. And SF Jello. But usually you get released on full liquids which includes yogurt, strained creamed soups, protein shakes, milk, SF pudding and I am sure others will add to this list
  10. It depends on your surgeons schedule. Usually a month out.
  11. My doctor scales are always 2 pounds less then mine. So I just go by mine
  12. Stalling is normal but if you don't try harder to get the calories and thinking this early out going back to liquids is going to help your wrong. Not only is this so unhealthy and you can get really malnutritioned but you are putting your body into starvation mode in which you hold onto weight not losing it.
  13. Good job everyone!!! Good luck at your 3 month appointment!!! I don't go till February 13. I finally broke my 4 week stall. During that time I didn't lose squat. Not even inches that I can tell but yesterday I couldn't stop eating and I woke up and I had lost 2 pounds this morning wooohoooo!!! So total lost now is 65 pounds 54 since surgery
  14. I ate like crazy yesterday not intentional and woke up to a 2 pound lost. I had been in a stall for 4 weeks
  15. Well I guess my pig out yesterday worked. I have been in a stall the past 4 weeks and this morning down 2 pounds go figure lol
  16. Eating everything today. All head hunger almost that time of month. Least its all healthy except all the crackers with my cheese and Turkey slices and the 15 multi grain chips. Then I had Adkins sausage and egg with peppers
  17. I bet. When I had my gastric done I asked the surgeon how my gallbladder looked he said it was fine. But sure enough 2 months later out it came. But I think I was just starting to have symptoms of gallbladder issues. But since gastric I panic at anything that is out of the norm feeling. There are too many things that can go wrong not to worry about these things.
  18. WOW!! Those babies are huge!!!
  19. Hahaha was just thinking, my hair is the only thing thinner in the past 3 going on 4 weeks. Still on my stall from Hades!!
  20. I have to chew my loratabs. Nasty as all get out but you get use too it. My synthroid and diovan are small enough to swollow and I am still on chewable vitamins. I know the biotin I haven't taken in awhile because it seemed to always get stuck. Guess I should try again seeing as my hair is thinner slightly
  21. Keytones are to blame. This happens when our bodies goes into ketosis
  22. I had mine removed. Not quite a month yet and yes it KILLED me!!!! It was 200% worst then gastric. I am still having pain, not as bad though , and discomfort and still can't lay on my left side without it feeling like something is pulling. I have to take a loratab every night since just to be comfortable!!
  23. You look amazing!!! Nice job!! I sure hope I can be just as successful!!
  24. The left sided pain is normal that is where they used the biggest instruments to perform the surgery
