I was told no pork meat until 1 year post op. Any one else told that? surgery date: 7/30/12

I had chicken on day 9 post op and did just fine. Make sure it is leg or thigh as both are moist and not as dry as breast and wing. surgery date: 7/30/12

I am in the emergency room getting IV fluids. I was told I am dehydrated. I seriously have tried my best to get liquids and Protein in but I just feel so full that I can't take anything else by mouth. I hope after the fluids I will feel better. Any ideas on how I can get more fluids in so I can prevent dehydration in the future? surgery date: 7/30/12

Same here. I don't enjoy food anymore nor do I crave it. I'd rather spend my day not eating anything. I've had a few days where all I can get in is 350 to 400 calories. Let's think positively and hope this gets better. Long journey ahead of us:-) surgery date: 7/30/12

I am 2 weeks 1 day post op and to this date I have not felt hunger pain at all. I was craving food the first week but once this second week not at all. I am disliking certain foods that I use to love just by not being hungry. I have to remind myself to eat at least 3 to 5 times a day or else I can go the entire morning or afternoon without eating where as before I was constantly hungry and eating. I am so loving this new like and change:-) surgery date: 7/30/12

I hope I did this right. I have attached a snapshot of what I could eat at stage 3 besides the full liquids. Hope this helps. My doc said that I could start at day 10 post surgery. surgery date: 7/30/12

I had mine placed when I was already under anesthesia and removed right after I came out of surgery. I was only asked to take a deep breath and is it out. Didn't feel a thing. Just to let you know, the catheter is not placed in the vagina. It is in your pee hole which is totally separate from the vaginal opening. Relax and everything will turn out well. When is your surgery?

Glad you are feeling better. I am 12 days post op and I have days where I cannot get more than 400 calories in (like yesterday). I feel extremely full all the time even if I don't eat. I woke up this morning feeling like I have just eaten an entire pizza! Don't know if this is normal or not. If anyone has experienced this before and know what is wrong, please let me know what was wrong with you. Maybe I can figure it out on my own before calling my doctor.

Same here. I only took 2 weeks off. I go back to work on Monday 8/13 and has surgery on 7/30. People at work were calling me crazy to just take 2 weeks but I am actually feeling a little bored at home now.
