  1. Passion tea:) I was there at week 1. I got tall iced Passion tea
  2. How upsetting! I'm praying for you! If you did smoke I don't think you would push hard to go with the surgery. Hopefully she thinks the same too. Best of luck! Keep us posted!
  3. Last night 3 hours after dinner (2oz of salmon) I ate a frozen yogurt thinking I can have yogurt why not freeze it. Well I had the worst pain! I didn't have dumping or vomit but if would have helped me I wish I did! Then today for breakfast I ate a scrambled egg with cheese, and I realized I get so full with less than 2 oz of egg than I do with all 2 oz of salmon. I don't get it! Egg gets me sooo full. Can anyone relate to either?
  4. I want to ride a roller coaster, sky dive, and have a closet full of color (not black)
  5. It's a hard decision to make, but you made it your fears are reasonable. Im a mom of 1 and also had a csection, but because the surgery was my choice it made it ok. Do all the research and write down all of your questions for your dr. If all else bring it here. All the luck!
  6. How exciting! Congrats
  7. I jumped on that right away and got your email. I even shared it with my mom who is 2 yrs post op. thanks again!
  8. The night before my surgery I kept reminding myself of all the reasons why I'm doing it, how long it took to get there, and all the hard work I put in. This reassurance self talk completely calmed my nerves, and I was so calm and collected. Even the nurses noticed. you will be great, sending prayers. Looking forward to all of your guys POST op updates! Cheers!
  9. I love your perspective! As one friend told me day after my surgery, the longest journey starts with one step! & its stuck by me. Try Mio or Passion tea/tazo they taste great. Lots of luck!
  10. LOL I know! After a liquid diet mash potatoe was heaven! try adding shredded cheese and a scoop of plain Greek yogurt (taste like sour cream & has tons of protein- even just a scoop is great)
  11. I am 28 and yes I had my rny on 7/25.
  12. That happened to my brother's father in law. He had 2 surgeries in 3 days and in the hospital for 6 days. 10 months out he is great, he doesnt regret it and is off all medicines. Feel comfort knowing it happens and they know how fix it. Praying for a speedy recovery!
  13. I don't have tri care, but I'm so sorry this happened to you. I am in the process of getting licensed as an mft/lpc and i can't believe she would waste your time like that. Stay positive and keep truckin! Best of luck!
  14. What a great and organized list can't wait to try some! Seriously can't believe a salad from Wendys has 36 grams of protein!!
  15. Ok so I'm supposed to get at least 60 grams of protein a day. Like most, I'm sick of them *just bored with them, not physically. But all the pre ops stuff all I remember was them pushing shakes! The food options I have are pretty high in protein. Question, if what I eat during the day gets me close to or at 60 does that mean I don't a shake? Or is it eat what's on my list and get 60gms from shake?
  16. Depends on you! Surgery wasn't painful for me... People who I know have had it are amazed how quickly I'm normal- even ready to go back to work. We waited 9 days wasn't the best, my hubby was afraid of hurting me. My doctor gave us ok at 1 week.
  17. You are a day ahead of me (7/25/12) we are on the same food deal, except I can't eat veggies. I can do all fish, all cheese (except cream cheese) cottage cheese, mash potato, plain yogurt, cream of wheat... Ect. My fav right now is 1oz mash pot. With melted cheese and 1 oz Greek yogurt delish! But I'm tolerating everything ok. I'm having a hard time getting 2 protein shakes in so I'm doing 1 @35 gms.
  18. My doctor said no soda ever, but if I had to it had to be flat. But I stopped drinking soda when I started the classes to get a referral to see surgeon. I kinda miss it but I also LOVE LOVE LOVE Starbucks Passion tea so I sip on that all day:)
